At least I work with a big enough company that I can start looking and making some good personal choices. I am so fraking tired of people trying to make me fit into their mold, into what they think I should do. They so totally focus on what they want that they ignore what's in front of them. I have skillsets that they don't want to see or encourage. I knew I was in for a change but what they did was just, well, just ludicrous. And they were shocked that I wasn't happy about it. Do they ever listen?!
If it wasn't for Improv (and Radek) letting me explore my creative side and having fun with who I am, I would be totally depressed right about now.

My information interview went really really well. He is recommending me to talk to another level of management. There is no job. At this point it for me exploring other possiblities and see if there is potiental for me to head into the direction I want to go into. He was really excited talking with me, because what I want to do is something the company hasn't done before and it has been recognized as an area of improvment only they haven't figured out how to make make the improvement. It helps that I am not coming in from the traditional career job progression so I can look at things differently.

Hummm, if it did, then I missed it. I only saw the one commercial and Friday night is the only night I really watch alot of TV, though I have recently made exceptions for Eureka and 4400 this year. I thought Torchwood was starting after Dr. Who was done. Jack's character hasn't even been introduced yet! I have only missed one episode and that was when I was in Chicago.

Damn, now I am going to have to find out!

I think Torchwood started a week or so ago. It's on BBCAmerica, not SciFi, to my great disappointment. (I don't have BBCAmerica and don't want to pay for the big extra package of channels for only one or two I'd use.)

Pajus, that little vignette for Rosehawk was hilarious! Broom closet work station...lol And glad to hear your interview went so well, Rosehawk! I hope there's some exciting new career stuff that'll come out of it!

Yeah! In Chicago I found someone who will get me David's autograph when he is in Germany later this year.

I kind of wanted to get this pic autograph, because it is so un-Zelenka-like but it sounds like I may have to get a pic there when I can't even see it. Oh well, at least I will finally have David's autograph!

Yeah, you're right! I was soooooo lucky to run into this wonderful woman at the Chicago con, she was getting tons of autographs for her friends back home of the actors there - she really was a very nice person and she was from Germany (in the States for work and took a short vacation before heading back to Germany).

I have kind of resided myself that I probably won't get to meet or see David at a con, so I asked her if she would get me his autograph. She was so nice and had no problem saying yes. I will have to figure out a nice way to say thank you to her!

Sometimes I have to laugh at myself for being a silly fan girl!

Thanks Seti. There is definitly some potiental. The guy was really really interested (and no Pajus, not for the other stuff you told me to watch out for ) My skill sets, knowledge, work history, and personality are a right mix. There is no job at this point- it was an information gathering interview. This is one of those situations where I have to make connections and wait for the oppotunity. If they truely believe in you/me, they will make the opportunity happen. Only drawback is I have to tell my boss what I am doing.

This would be such a drastic change for me. Kind of cool!

Legs are getting better...medical bills kept piling up though and my cousin and I ended up homeless for a stretch. *hugs the Radek tightly to chase away nightmares of shelters and baked beans*

Oh no, you have just been having terrible luck. Do you have a place right now? Are you holding up okay?!

Chicago was alot of fun. It was just the vacation I needed, so many really neat people. I got three wonderful hugs from Paul McGillian. One was so totally unexpected and that was was my highlight - it was a big hug, only seeing David would have made it better. At this time David doesn't do Creation cons.

I hope David/Zelenka cheers you up abit.
