I loved Sam as commander

I did for the most part; I just didn't like the bits that seemed 'un-Sam' to me... like the crack about being stuck in an elevator with Zelenka. (of course that whole scene was just a writer being sour grapes...) I would really have liked to see her in an ep where she worked hand in hand with Zelenka and McKay and solved the problem in true Sam style.

Almost wonder if he wasn't jealous of the attention Zelenka was getting, like he was taking it away from McKay or something. I like McKay, but that yummy Czech just gets me going every time!! *swoon*

I don't know if he was jealous but he has been on record as saying that McKay is is favorite and you can see that in everything he wrote showed that McKay could do not wrong, even to the determinant of Zelenka and Shepard. I don't recall the exact quote but I believe he has said he was most like McKay so if he has a McKay ego, then he's going to do what he can to make others like Zelenka look bad.

As adorable as he is even while injured, I have to say that the first airing of that episode I was a wreck. Me - 'NO! Don't hurt my Zelenka!!' Poor hubby had to deal with a crazy person until the end. LOL!

I finally got around to watching the deleted scenes from S4 DVDs and heard Martin Gero's rude comment about how no one likes Zelenka. Sooo wanted to smack him upside the head for that! No wonder the characters were acting out-of-character. It was his obsession with McKay and weird dislike of Zelenka. *shakes head* Idiot.

I remember seeing an old post in here (I think it was by Rosehawk) about when there used to be 'Anti-such-and-such' threads (which aren't allowed anymore), apparently there was one for just about every main and reccuring character in SGA, except one. Guess who...

I listened to the audio commentary on Trio Maybe one of the other eps (and yeah, I'm with everyone one Gero. Not a favorite of mine) Anyways, after I listened to the commentary the writer/director person was commenting with Amanda and saying how David Nykl was a troll (in apparently an amusing way). I got the impression they wrote the Sam and Jenn bit commenting on Radek as a joke about that. Without that inside information, it just fell flat and sounded mean. Didn't like it.
