I LOVED that episode - it actually spawned a tiny little fanfiction that wound up going into the bigger one. (Oh an update: the fanfiction recently suffered a hit that forced us to go back to the drawing board on one of our plotlines. My apologies. I don't want to give a release date, but I will keep you updated).

I appreciate the help given, (Melena I'm looking at you) for my question on David Nykl images for banners. I didn't thank anyone at the time and I'm sorry. So THANK YOU so much.

I guess now I'm asking for more help. *innocent* Does anyone know where to find audio clips? David or Radek. Right now I have Rodney McKay as a ringtone on my phone, and I'd like to change that.

Work has been kicking my BUTT the last couple of weeks. I've had two days off in the last 2 weeks! *blarg* But hey, that means MONEY and MONEY means a chance at seeing David in a convention next year. So it's worth it.

He's also a very energetic fellow - not just entertaining, I'm not sure he knows how to be still! He seems very happy all the time, I hope this is a true statement. I'm sure he gets upset and mad, but he really knows how to separate personal and work life. I love that about him. He's got the formula down.

On a purely superficial note, I really like how he looks there. That hairstyle and clean-shaven look really works for him, (though who doesn't like a bit of scruff?).

This may be a stupid question but since I don't know for sure I'm just going to throw it out: Was Radek supposed to be an older character? I know when I saw him and then saw that David was only....gosh, what, 39? when the series started....I couldn't believe my eyes. He looked old to me, like 50s. In a fanfiction I wrote, McKay even quips: "He's like seventy years old, he's missed his chance!" Was Radek supposed to look older or is David just a naturally aged man? In those pictures above, he looks younger than Radek to me....

I don't think he was supposed to be older per se. Just older than he was? To me he had a bit of an Einstein look going on in the beginning and throughout the seasons he kept registering to me as 45, no more, no less.

I don't have auto clips but I do have video clips. I can play around and see if I can get audio. I'll let you know if I succeed.

Yes, David is definitley worth seeing at a convention. He's a lot of fun to watch on stage! Even though he does say some of the same things, he really tries to vary what he does on stage. I've seen him where's he's done an Improv skit - he reads from a book - usually a romance novel - and two people from the audience have to act out what he reads. It can be hilarious! Some of the overseas conventions he done things like a back flip and sometimes he runs around the audience! Oh and he juggles so he's done that on stage too!

He definitely is energetic. David's human like the rest of us..I am sure he has his ups and downs, he just generally seems to be a bit more of a positive person so in public, he knows how to handle himself in a very positive and friendly manner. Someone asked him at a convention about melt-downs on the set...and he mention that he's seen some good ones with Hewlett and then he added that they all have melt downs!

David can get away with alot of different looks. He's looks fantastic clean-shaven, hair crop short, but boy he can sure pull the sexy scruff look better than most men I've seen! I blame it on his eyes, he's got great eyes that just take him where he is going!

I've never heard David say that they were looking for someone age specific, just that originally they wanted a Russian and when they found out he was Czech, they wrote the character as Czech, which I think was a great choice to make. American shows always seem to go Russian so tptb going with a different nationality was a really nice change for TV.

David definitley looks a lot younger when you meet him in person. He's also much much more handsome in person. High definition TV isn't really to kind to actors, it kind of amplifies their physical characteristics and I think that's what happens to David on the screen, especially since David does make a lot of facial expressions, both subtle and very bold, and over time that shows in the face as well.

Oh my God I just never get tired of seeing him in that suit. He looks like a professor. I would SO take his class.....and we're not even going to talk about extra credit.

Heeheehee I actually prefer the scruffy look as well. Hair cut short but not shaved off, kinda spiky (like his character in 'Spare Change' if any one has seen that) and a bit more than a 5 o'clock shadow.... He's hot clean shaven but as Rosehawk said, he's one of the only men I know who makes the unshaven scruff look flat out hot.

I like the mad scientist hair too, though. Something to hold on to....I mean lolwut? *innocent*

I've seen David in con videos where he ran out on stage and karate-kicked the audience, then ran around the audience. I saw him juggle too. That improv thing - wow that must have been wild! *giggling insanely* Dang it now you're making me want to go to another con and I have no money!!!
