I'm just relieved to have found some people that are still here and still willing to gush about David Nykl/Radek Zelenka. I joined Stargate Atlantis so late in the game (I saw my first episode ever in February of 2011), I thought I had missed the boat. I am just hoping and praying David goes to a couple conventions late next year, because I won't have any money until then!!

Hiccups, if you want to order the movie, you can do so by going to www.provostpictures.com. I don't know how long it'll take to get here, but to be honest it might be fun to watch the movie 'with' someone because I get uncomfortable during sex scenes and as it's David....there's no telling what'll happen, (remember I said I REALLY get into things? That can make sex scenes really awkward to watch for me). Would it be too bold for me to ask if anyone might be willing to do a livechat of the film, if anyone else has it? Might be fun.....

David likes to do conventions, only problem is most of them are NOT in the US and he doesn't always post them on his blog.

So far, I think I am the only one on the thread that has the movie.

I don't like to over analyse movies but I don't have a problem with a livechat or something, though that might be tough to coordinate. I'd actually recommend you watch it the first time without any chat just so you can enjoy the movie. I got alot more by watching it a second time.

Seriously, don't worry about the sex scene. It's not a typical one, it's short and it really is funny. If you put your mind into it that it's David as an artist and not David as Zelenka, it might make it easier to not feel uncomfortable!

Don't worry, as a huge fan girl myself..I know exactly what you mean!

And David was in the room the first time I saw the movie!

I just don't want people to be worried and then not watch the movie...'The Beast of Bottomless Lake' as the scene doesn't define the movie or the characters but really does a great job of showing some key relationship and character issues.

Oh, no, I am still going to watch the movie, no question! It's David, and it's been hyped, and after seeing the preview I have no choice, I HAVE to see it! I just let a silly little personal quirk get me all worked up.

LOL...no I did not go to the premere. Last year there was a Sci-fi convention in Vancouver and some of my Sci-fi friends were going to go to the convention to support David and to watch the movie. It had already premiered and won several awards at two film festivals. I got a surprise check in the mail, enough to pay for airfare and hotel so I was able to go to see it with them. Which was probably a good thing...I had been following the movie for three years - since David first blogged about it and it was driving me nuts that I couldn't see it, especially when there were updates and screenings all over Western Canada.

David and several of the Cast members were there for a Q&A after the meeting. Here's a link to the Q&A

How, you ask, does that qualify as 'falling in love'? Because when I saw him get stabbed I completely lost it. I'm not embarrassed to say that I spent the rest of the episode crying because I thought he was going to die. And when he lived, I was so relieved I started crying some more - and then I realized I'd gone completely mad for him.

I didn't realize I loved him until I thought I'd lost him. I know, so dramatic, but it's true.

THAT being said, who doesn't melt into a puddle of goo with this shot?

General question - I have been looking for this answer for MONTHS and it's still unconfirmed - Is Radek married (or WAS he)? Someone said he wore a ring but I can't find it. His message in 'Letters from Pegasus' is supposedly translated as 'take care, darling', though milacku also means sweetheart, dearest, or even my love! He never mentions a wife, and of course there's the whole question of would he STILL be married after 5 years in Pegasus? David Nykl himself mentions that he and the producers each had their own ideas about Radek's personal life, and in the end he went with whatever the producers said, which left the character with barely any noted history, (I still wish he had managed to talk the producers into letting him fence as Radek - that would have been jaw-dropping).

Right now because I can't find any definite proof, I'm going with he is not currently married, (as in two years after the end of the series, he is not married - that is when my fanfic takes place). But if anyone can tell me a yes or no that would be lovely.

The Razzie shipper in my says no, Radek's not married. Aside from that (totally selfish reason) I don't remember seeing anything to suggest he was with anyone on Earth.

Dear, we have drool buckets that we pass around. He he he. (Sorry, I meant to tell you this earlier, but I was having one of my migraines.) We also joke about having David Nykl fangirl meetings where we serve chocolate covered Radeks (like chocolate rabbits at Easter), Nykl-filled doughnuts, hot Czecholate, and what not. We also have a life-sized cardboard cut out to put up at the meeting, and tease about selling all kinds of Radek merchandise like sheets, wash cloths, towels, soap, etc. We're nuts, or at least I am anyway. Oh what that poor man must think of me.
