Radek Zelenka/David Nykl Appreciation, Thunk, Translation Thread

hey all Some of you may remember that in 2005 I spent a weekend calling David Nykl "bunny boy" because a screencap of Zelenka made him look like a rabbit. He very nicely posed as a bunny then and I have put the pic here once or twice.

Well, today I met him again and he remembered me when I mentioned the bunny boy thing. Hehe he grimaced dramatically but he was so awesome about it all and even re-did the bunny photo op with me.



He also signed one of the pics I brought with "NOT bunny boy". Haha. Even though there are other actors in the fandom I thunk more, David Nykl is the best by far that I have met.

I wouldn't want him to pose like a bunny, I would love to see him pose with a bunny. I think that would be so thunkaliciously cute!!!! Add my two kids and you just couldn't get much cuter than that IMO. But then people might think he was my husband. Hmmm, I had better rethink this. But it would still be terribly cute you must admit seeing him holding a cute little bundle of soft furry bunny love. *melts*

lol...I remember - was so funny! That whole bunny thing is what made me feel really welcome when I first came to this thread, way back then.......

David done some fun and silly poses for some of my photo ops too! Really makes the experience much more memorable!

David is pretty awesome!

BOBW 2005 was only his 3rd convention and it was a very strange experience (quite a small convention by other standards in which we were always within glomping range), so perhaps it left an impression! He even remembered the name of the person who organised it and thought it was sad that no more BOBW cons had been successful.

And yes, he is awesome.

Oh I noticed the ring yesterday - I totally didn't know he got married. Does anyone know when that happened?

Yeah but it's so insane... several thousand people all trying to get into the same space and not all of them using deodorant. Even though I am paid up for the whole weekend, I'm just so exhausted and my VIP ticket meant I jumped every queue (except the bathroom and ATM queues!). But sadly, one doesn't need a VIP ticket to see David because there was never any queue to speak of. Ditto to Corin Nemec.

Well..since HyperCaz cut herself out of the picture...she could be a bunny....ya just never know!

He seems willing to just go for it... he has so much energy! When I first walked into the photo booth (after getting the autographs and chatting), he said "Oh here we go" and glomped me. Zelenka!Attack. None of the other guests did more than an arm over the shoulder.

lol...David just knows how to connect with fans really really well. He appreciates them and he shows it! My photo op with him in April he gave me a HUGE bear hug! I wasn't expecting it but I really did appreciate it and enjoyed it alot! He surprised me with a second photo op and when I finally got to see the pic I found that he had stuck out his tongue! *silly man* And I am so not going there with the tongue jokes!

Cool about David remembering...not so cool that more BOBW cons were not successful!

David's been married for some time, since before Stargate. He's pretty private about his personal life so that info isn't shared, though his wife is from the Czech Republic so I suspect he met her there during his Czech Republic years before he came back to Canada to live. He just doesn't always wear his ring..alot of actors don't.
