I remember the thin ceiling/ floor in my first apartment out of college.... And when the newlyweds moved on upstairs...

I had that at Uni in halls - the girl next door AND the girl upstairs! With the girl usptairs at least it was her boyfriend, the girl next door - different bloke every night.

The type of squeaking we're hearing from upstairs is them getting into bed and turning over, occassionally loud enough to wake us up at some un-Godly hour. But never anything... rhythmic...

I am - gastroenteritis seems appropriate.

Having had gastritis four times in the past two years... i'm not sure i'd wish that on him, i'd imagine gastroenteritis is even worse!

I can sympathise! A few years back we had a different neighbour. We had just had our youngest son so were having to get up to do night feeds. Almost every night, just after I'd get back in bed, the squeaks would start. Unfortunately, that squeaking was rhythmic and accompanied by other noises! Not nice...and even worse when you're exhausted anyway. We ended up having to soundproof the wall!
