Well I went to a con in Nov. where they had JM, DH, and RL on stage together talking and taking questions - it was absolutely hysterical!! I just wish it could have been longer!

Aww.. thanks! Love to write action but also sometimes love to write good old fashioned character interaction. When I can mix the two, mores the better!

On the topic of DVDs..(your post just made me think of this, Pocus.. LOL ) Am I remembering correctly that Robert Cooper said there would be a directors cut of Vegas on the season 5 DVDs?

Do we spoiler for movie speculation? I was just thinking that if I were the powers that be and weren't too interested in doing a second movie but wanted to leave the option open, I'd

Write a story in which Sheppard finally achieves self-sacrifice and ascends in the last scene. Maybe a remnant of the Ori have found out that Atlantis is back on earth and in a final frenzy of revenge, decide to take it out by use of a device, energy pulse, what ever works that will emanate from the ascended plane. As is usual, the ascended ancients deliver a cryptic warning that Keeping Atlantis on earth will result in the destruction, not only of the city, but possibly the planet, the solar system, and maybe even the galaxy. Depending on the writer's sense of grandiosity, of course. Sheppard is hauled back to the SGC from wherever he was sent, and has to fly the city out and then, not wanting to lose the city or the location to which it was flown, winds up ascending to take out the weapon on the ascended plane. Whether he is just that close enough to Ancient to do it on his own - which is why he was always so adamantly against it, he was constantly fighting the natural compulsion toward it - or had some underhanded ascended Ancient help is moot. And of course there would be lots of opportunities for Shepwhump in any and all parts of the script. Final scene would be, again, on the balcony, with cast of many, holding a wake and saying delightful things about Sheppard; or maybe in his room, with just the team there, and McKay saying hopefully, "Jackson came back."

TPTB would have have what they'd consider definite closure. Some use would be made Sheppard's heritage. And if the first movie does extremely well, they'd have just that bit of an out

I had a Underground thought - yesterday I posted my Whump Add-In for Underground - Shep should have been brutally interrogated, not just sat in the chair and asked questions, right? Well, what do you think would have been more effective? Whump Rodney making Shep cooperate so Rodney doesn't get hurt? Or whump Shep so Rodney freaks out and starts babbling?
