Quick post in and I'm off -

Gate Geek - you wanna know the ultimate irony? I grew up on a dairy farm and I'm allergic to dairy products!

Crossing my fingers for some CG pics...do you think they'll treat us this Friday as a warm-up for next week???? ARGH! I need some more whump fics to keep me going...I'm desparate! (ugh, I can't even spell right anymore or words are starting to look funny...okay, need sleep, must go.....

I wish for sweet dreams filled with lotsa yummy Shep whump to all those heading for bed!

Gosh, I hope we get more CG pixs. Although the one posted today makes me kind of afraid to see them and Shep getting way too whumped!!

I've been exhausted lately and I thought I'd catch a few extra zzzs tonight and you know what, it ain't working. Way too early, yes. GRRR! Plus I came back to look at the forum and I saw that there were more updates on the main page...nothing for CG yet but now I'll never get to bed early!!!

Shep will feel some emotional whump about Ronon being taken away. How could he not? He's a member of his team. So, I think it's likely we'll see tense, upset, frantic Shep. I don't tihnk he'll get injured saving Ronon though, in the spoiler pics, Shep is seen helping Teyla to support Ronon as they run away. So, I think it's likely it's a heavy Ronon whumping eppie. I'd absolutely adore seeing Shep hurt saving Ronon though. How good would that be?

the hurt part was dream land i was sure that wouldn't happen because of the pics... but i hope they play up the angst! ... gah! i wish they would hurry up hehe i need more atlantis now!

Apologies - I just want to see if I got the gist of the spoilers right after reading the bits and pieces of spoilers floating around:

Shep gets captured by Koyla and fed to the Wraith who sucks him of his life bit by bit but he gets okay because the wraith 'heals' him?

Correct me if I'm wrong? And, if you have more spoilers, do give!

Because if that's true the potential for angst is so cool ... but you know ... knowing how TPTB works, I don't think we get much dwelling on it. Still, I feel that Stargate doesn't dismiss character developments the way Star Trek does, so I have hope that this will carry on over to other episodes. A moodier Shep, perhaps?

How do you think this incident will impact Sheppard?

Will he shrug it off like it's a walk in the park? I see a Sheppard who pretends that it's nothing, but of course it does affect him and he refuses to show it.

I am counting on you lovely fanfic writers to fill my hunger for ShepWhump for this ep!

You know, I've never thought of it like that before. I have the occasional guilty twinge about smiling when my heroic lead gets whumped, and the occasional question of my mental state but it hadn't occured to me how prevalent it is in the entertainment idustry until you pointed it out.

They have been feeding my addiction for years!!
Without my realising it!!

If I wasn't so grateful I might protest..

it took an andromeda harperchondriacs thread to realize i wasn't alone hehehe know when ever i like a new show i always try to find the whumpers... i always feel at home with them hehe... i hope you guys don't mind me joining your home here

My worst ick are slimy bugs- slugs and worms and such. I'm almost phobic about them. I dislike all bugs, spiders included, but I'll run screaming if I touch a slug. At a place I used to live, I found slugs on the wall that were longer than my finger and about 2cm fat. Absolutely awful. I couldn't walk past my back door without peering around the edge at the wall for a month after that.

Hey- I'm sure we can reach 10,000! We are all dedicated to the cause!

bugs are the worst.... i was at the san diego comic con with my friends and were were standing on a sidewalk looking for a resturant around 10pm at night. when a cockraoch ran across my sandled foot. My friend nureek says the scream is still echoing off the buildings there. Well we don't have cockroaches my parts of the world... at least i had never seen one before... and frell big and gross! *shudder*

I have just read an e-mail on the SGAHC yahoo group that there is a pic in the UK mag SFX of Shep in Common Ground and he looks as bad as Sumner did just before Shep shot him - where can we get that mag Help I need to see it!!!!!

What's your Favorite whump scene?

I'd have a hard time! The scene on the Jumper floor where they're reviving him, is right up there right after the salt water on the bug.

The scene where he's wheeled into the infirmary on the gurney, big *love* moment there LOL!

The episode hands down is 38 mins because it had it all for poor Sheppard. Whumped, angsted over by team, he died...you know, little stuff like that.

oh man you know its the little scenes! the gurney is totally up there. I love love that one. there bit where he gets frustrated and and smashes weir's window, and the look of hurt and fear in his eyes when he has the bug attached to him with the wraith standing over him... and the time he got stunned and he looked so afraid when he could move and teyla stood over him and told him he would be alright... i could go on hehe...

As much as I don't like it, that it is...the feeding mark, the ears, the angle of the face, it sure seems like it, but god, noooo, I do not like that, hopefully we won't have much of *that* on screen.

the physical fix that they're gonna have to do, which I want to be believable, I really really want some pyschological repercussions for Sheppy here. Cos you are not telling me anyone - even John "I'm fine" Sheppard - can go through something like that and not be freaked out by it, not have a few nightmares, feel a bit weird afterwards.. I want some kind of follow through into the next episode - or two - that shows us everyone hasn't just forgotten this ever happened and gone on happily abot their lives...

oh man i couldn't agree more.. thats what i've been missing the most...the repercussions!
