Welll that just goes to show what a great job you are doing in translating your thoughts on to the page.

And I'm glad I'm not the only one who uses music for mood setting and inspiration for writing. Though I confess the music I listen to ususally has more guitars than the LOTR soundtrack.

Apols for not reading your fic just yet IWTB - I have a lot of stuff am trying to get done so am saving your nice big story for when I've got time to sit and read it properly and enjoy it rather than trying to read it in snatches.

A while ago when I was stuck with my SGA writing I luckily had just ordered the SGA Season 1 soundtrack (well, they call it that but really it's just the soundtrack to Rising) and I played that on repeat while I wrote - it really helped to get me into the atmosphere and get me writing!

Ali, don't worry, I know how it is, I read stuff when I can and since I beta for a lot of people now plus my own, I find I actually don't get much time at all to read which is depressing.

I think it's the best to read long fics when I've cleared time away and am free to just bury myself in it, and read from start to finish, that's why I'm not posting it anywhere or sending out links to anyplace other than you guys here hehehe.

Even though the ending is being rewritten, it was complete when I started posting and doing it in parts saves my brain, it's such a PITA to go through and code...searching to find all the italics and in this later half I've got a lot of font change and centers. Frustrating, doing 20 + pages of that wears me out, so that's a great deal of why I've only gotten four parts posted so far. I think that brought it up to page 87 and I've got 137 written.

I'm on the fence on putting it at ff.net.

And to keep it legal cause I haven't posted enough today!

I think you and IWTB have slightly more highbrow musical tastes than me.

LOL, well I love classical and opera, but I clean to opera, write to classical or, some music vids really tickle me and I can write to them to set moods.

But cleaning to opera...LOL, yeah, that's fun. It's the only thing that makes it fun, and I drive my family NUTS.

My boys have been raised on Beethoven, Bach, Mozart, Vivaldi, Chopin...god that is some great stuff, you can lose yourself in the music completely. That kind of music I put on our sound system and turn it up loud, it's engrossing.

But I love all music almost, except the newer rock songs.

Meatloaf, Johnny Cash, Queen, Prince and John Denver...I'm all over the map. I was raised on Hank Williams, Willie Nelson and Kenny Rogers, but I grew up in the 80's so all that music I adore; Phil Collins, Madonna, Hall and Oates, Air Supply...there's so much.

And the oldies, 50's and 60's, those are all gold.

But DH got me into a genre I wasn't really that into, swing music, when he was deployed he picked up a CD by Robbie Williams with the remakes of classi swing songs like Mack the Knife, that thing rocks too.

Oh my I like all kinds of music. Seriously, my CD collection contains some of everything - classical, new age, country, heavy metal, pop music, dance music, ambient, gregorian chants, French ballads, German rap music, golden oldies, musicals, soundtracks - you name it!

My all-time favourite singer is someone IWTB will probably have heard of but maybe the UK folks won't... Sarah McLachlan. Awesomely talented woman - fantastic voice, writes her own stuff, plays several instruments.. and writes and sings the most haunting, powerful, beautiful songs. I've been a fan for about 10 years or more and finally saw her in concert in 2004 when, finally, after 16 years in the business, she toured in the UK! She was BRILLIANT!!

Oh yeah, she's got an awesome voice. In the Arms of Angels is a beautiful song and one of my favorites.

Well I'm essentially an indie rock chick but I have a pretty wide range of tastes. If it's good I'll like it.

I love classical too, being a musician and all, or so rumour has it. However my favourite all time group are the Eagles. I adore them, and went to see them at Wembley 2 weeks ago. Boy, was I a happy bunny!
So, no new promo piccies or CG piccies tonight?

Sadly no. I guess we'll have to wait for the pics. Like I said in the JFT hopefully that means they'll be worth the wait.
