CeeKay Wow! I don't know which is braver taking on DS9 or Holmes. I'm a Trek fan but there's a hell of a lot of canon to keep straight there and if you make a mistake you can be sure that niners will pick up on it.

It was a DS9 style uniform top with the green science undershirt (except the "undershirt" part was just a collar bit to fit under the top, rather than a whole undershirt).

In fact I've always liked most "cult" TV - everything from The Prisoner, to Twin Peaks, Buffy, X-Files etc etc etc.

I got really into TNG and DS9 while at uni though I actually only got the uniform years later... I made friend with my mum's boss' German au pair and she was a big fan of Trek and I found out about a local fan club and she wanted to go but not alone so I went with her... and it was a great laugh.. and when the fan club went together to the cinema to see Insurrection when it was released I felt left out that I didn't have a uniform too so I bought one!

There was no green, Jadzia wore the blue science uniform. However, in the DS9 days they did go through a stage of having a rather greeny-blue colour if I recall correctly, kind of a dark turquoise.

Okay then.. the turquoisey colour is what I meant (though is was definitely more greeny than bluey in the uniform I had!). Sort of this sort of colour:



Except my uniform was the version where they had the grey shoulders to the top and the coloured collar rather than this way around..

Oh, I liked Trek, especially TNG, Voyager and early Enterprise. Never was as obsessed as I am with SGA though.

Ali, I just read your Epilogue and it was really lovely. A great ending, and I loved the last line. Well done, sweetie!

Well I guess the one good thing to come from me being unwell is that I'm getting lots of writing done. It's something of a relief to be back on top of things so I guess I should make the most of it.

I do actually feel like I'm getting somewhere today, the end is in sight. Well I hope so anyway, essentially I'm just editing some chapters while others will need some major rewrites but I'm definitely getting somewhere. Yay!
