Oh, love the caps!!!! That was a truly wonderful scene. When I first heard Rachel discussing it I really didn't think it'd be all that much, but wow, it was fantastic.

I've been thinking of joining this thread for some time now, but I never did because I normally don't have that much time at hand (I'm on holiday right now), and I already had my hands full with my two fav threads (McKay thunk and whump). But I'm such a big whump fan that only Rodney whump isn't enough for me anymore, and I read lots and lots of Shep whump fanfics, so I decided to drop by here now that I have time. And the lovely Mx encouraged me to do so, too.

I'm mainly a McKay thunker, but I'm not someone who thinks that other characters aren't worth a penny compared to my fav - no way, I don't like that attitude. I also like the character of John Sheppard a lot (no, not only in slash, also in general ). And I like whump - and whump love connects us all. So here I am. I don't know how often I'll be able to be here, but I hope often enough!

I'm kinda like you I think... I love my Sheppy and my Sheppy whump but I also do like McKay and, let's face it, you can never have too much whump, so I sometimes poke my nose in on the McKay whumpe thread too! Oh and somehow Rodney oftens ends up getting whumped (emotionally and physically) in my Shep whumpy fics!

Wow, i'm so happy, i just watched sateda and it was fantastic! Season 3 is going so good!

I think there was not a moment lost in this ep, every character was into place. Ronon's hatred was very well portrayed, Mckay was funny but also expressed his deeper feelings, and yes, i agree, Shep's eyes were humid while talking with Teyla.

This was just awesome...

So much to love -

• Awesome opening sequence - Mx did you enjoy the Rodney whumpage?
• Awesome woozy Shep whumpage (the way he said "Oh crap" and kinda slowly toppled over! *dies*)
• Drugged out Rodney - soooooooo funny! "A guy who looks kinda like you but with messy hair" )
• Ronon goes psycho - amazing fight scenes! Just WOW!!
• Sheppy and McKay on the floor of the lab - such a fab little friendship scene!
• Sheppy and Teyla's heart to heart - sooooooooo cute and awkward and awesome and I just wanna hug Sheppy and OMG finally some canon detail on Sheppy's lack of family/difficulty dealing with emotions etc! Oh and the adorkable way he pats her hand at the end!
• Sheppy's increasing kill count and Teyla's reaction to it..
• Awesome Ronon backstory
• Sheppy's "please can I shoot him?" moments
• Team hugs in the jumper
• Ronon passing out (okay so I'm getting with the Ronon whumpage a little)

Oh and just so much more. So many lovely team moments in this ep - if this is what the writers were talking about when they said they want to show more of the bond between the team etc then bring it on! Yes please!

My only slight complaint.... Ronon pulling bits of shrapnel from the wounds in his leg.. now that's the kind of whumping I want for Sheppy!!

I gotta rewatch this ep!

I agree with everything you said Ali! It was such an awesome episode! The best ever IMO!

Yes I think we probably have capped every Shep whump scene to death!!! We are very dedictaed whumpers and even the slightest hint of Shep whump sends us into a frenzy!
