My son's camping trip got cancelled (after they all arrived ready to go at the meeting spot) because of the heat. He was so let down but they are doing another one in October they are thinking.

It's just been an incredibly yucky summer here, this is our third year living here and it's the first that's been anything like this.

Jammies LOL, I can't wait till winter and I'm cold. It's hard to remember when our bedroom was so cold we got a heated mattress pad LOL. I mean it really gets cold in our bedroom, because it's all windows. We've got these huge glass block windows over our jacuzzi bath tub and that's what that corner is (two massive windows), then both walls are windows in the actual bedroom itself. Our bedroom/bathroom/walk in closet suite takes up the whole left side of the house. I mean, it'd be like 60 degrees in there when the rest of the house was 72.

You know, I've been staying up till at least 2 am for it to cool enough just to go to bed and still being so hot I can't fall asleep till 3 or so in the morning. I'm just miserable, has the heat broke for any of you guys? It's still 99-100 every day here and I'm just fed up, completely. Every day is the same and I'm sick of it. I've never done well when the weather goes long periods without changing, but this is pushing every button I have because it's been horrible hot, humid, and sunny for two months straight. We haven't had any days with rain, or temps in the 80's. I've never been this irritated during summer before!

But the point of my rant, is that by the time I do fall asleep, I'm so dead tired I sleep like a log and don't dream at all or if I do, I don't remember them. *sniff* That sheppy dream sounds lovely!

Do you life up in New York? I really feel sorry for the people there...
On the other hand, I guess most people do have a/c in New York.
We fought the heat for more than 2 months without air conditioning... I don't wanna complain, though. I love the heat! Humidity is what sucks!

I'm much more of a autumn/winter person always have been, September through to Christmas is the best time of the year by far.

We're in south carolina, my husband is stationed at a military base here. The weather our first two summers was really up and down. We had some hot days but there were enough cooler days (low 80's) and plenty of rain and thunderstorms interspersed to make it all very bearable, in fact, I wondered why everyone complained about how hot it was because we'd moved here from Edwards AFB where it was 116 a lot of the time in the summers. But this summer...oy! This is bad. It's the constant heat without any breaks that is making it so unbearable. I don't think we had one day in the 80's for all of July. Not one. And the only rain we've had has been late at night with a few isolated thunderstorms that were very isolated and short. It *bites*!!! And dang PTB won't even release some CG pics to cheer me up, drat it all!

Oh, and we do have A/C but eeek, even set at 74, like last night, it was up to 81 in the house. It just can't keep up with the huge vaulted ceilings and we only have the one unit for the entire house. I know some people say it takes two to really maintain anything cooler than 20 degrees below the outside temperature.

I'm an Alaskan, and I tell you, it's a government conspiracy that has kept all our assignments in the hot weather climates (I mean, *really*, they've sent us to Texas, California and now here). We did meet in Nebraska which was at least a place with all four seasons, and we went to Iceland for two years which was really cool (both literally and figuratively) but since then it's been all hot weather bases). Blech!!!!

Awwww! Poor sweetie. Hugs to you. My brother lives in Florida and it's been pretty hot there too, though not as hot as South Carolina, I don't believe.
As for no CG piccies. What the hell is going on? I just don't get it!

I finally ventured into the "Game" thread, and the negativity I found there was astounding. So I posted this (beware of spoilers) to get another positive opinion in there – though I think my one (teeny tiny) complaint is shared by enough people to keep them from jumping down my throat.
