It is storming so very hard here, has been all day. So much for the first day of summer.

Morning thunkers!

I always think it's so funny to say summer starts on June 21st. For us it's always June 1st, even if it can sometimes be as cold as 10 C / 50 F although that's rare. For us, it's the amount of light that counts rather than the heat, living at 60 N Summer Solstice is a very important holiday. To me it means that summer's already half over, even if we can have temperatures of over 25 C / 77 F in September.
