Anything to do with Carson has me going. I was reading Wedj's 'post-Surrender' fics (again) and the bit where Carson says to Teyla "They thought we were looking for them and this whole time we thought they were dead." I got that sucker punch in the gut - it was sadder (to me) than the sad JT stuff!

I think he was worried about what would happen if the wraith made it to Atlantis and he wanted to get back to warn them and he knew they didn't have a lot of time to get back through the gate before the wraith were right on top of them!

But I do understand why you didn't like it...I don't think John was being hard, I think he was possibly looking at the bigger picture and what it would mean to everyone, in the pegasus galaxy and the milky way...If the wraith managed to take over Atlantis there might have been no stopping them!

You know the old saying, "you have to sacrifice a few to save many." It may be a hard choice but sometimes someone has to make that choice!

As much as I loved this ep I have to agree with Cazz and say I found John OOC.... I could understand him refusing to help the first time as he wanted to get back to Atlantis though I still think stopping to get Teyla's people wouldnt have taken that long and he would definitley have made the time if they had been his people. But when they got stranded on the planet and he was still being difficult about waiting for them it really annoyed me.. and I just didnt see John being like this..

I think John and the team are the heart and soul of Atlantis, especially John. I feels he holds everything together. Without him there wouldn't be the same connection.
