Absolutely a Ford Epi. From the beginning when Rodney was panicking and Teyla was caring for John... Elizabeth needed Ford to explain the situation calmly. He did show great leadership skills.

Woah! Is that the only time in whole series Teyla used a contraction?

I think it might happen 2 or 3 times, but it's rare. I just now realize that I think this is the only time in the series that they ever have puddle jumper problems. After this, the rest of the time it's smooth sailing.

I miss Grodin. He was good. Kavanaugh is too much of a defeatist here.

Why, in God's name, would the Ancients have tried to cross humans with the eratis bug? How does that advance the sum of knowledge?

How might this have affected John's dna? I mean if that's how they "grew" wraith, did it affect John? The bug has been used by Michael to create his minions, by Todd to help heal him and return him to pre-retrovirus wraithdom, then it suggests it might do something to John.

Did they? I thought the Wraith happened by accident. I'll have to keep watching.

I think the bug just fed off of John. I don't know if it injects any of its DNA inside of him, but that's a good question.

I could be wrong, but I sort of got the impression that it started as an accident - one of them got stung by the bug - and someone got the bright idea to see what could happen if it was taken out to an extreme. There's slight mentions of it in Poisoning the Well and a few others.

I think it said later in season1 that it was an accident, but I am suspicious. I am just staring the legacy Booksbut I think thy are leaning towards not an accident. After all, in the Ancient database they say they. Happened upon a race.... Um that is understating the truth either way.

All the fic I've read about it turned out to be Sparky fic. I've been trying to think what it might have been from either a GEN or a John/Teyla point of view.

I always figured he was going to say that he'd had a great run if he wasn't going to make it, and that he wasn't sorry for coming to Atlantis as a part of the expedition, even if this was going to be his end. The team he had and the friends he'd made were worth it. But that's just what I figured.

Okay. I haven't seen Poisoning the Well in a while. That's a pretty bad experiment if it's true. Kind of like how the Wraith experimented on humans and ended up giving them some of their abilities instead of making them more "palatable."
