John Sheppard/Teyla Emmagan Appreciation/Ship/Discussion Thread
Looking forward to the book! For lots of reasons now. The JT goodness and now it sounds like there might be some McCadman fun. I sometimes think I'm the only McCadman shipper left on the face of the planet.
*wonders when I can plot enough to buy it* Does she have any other books out?
Yes, she has. Death Game is set in Season 2 of SGA. But in October she has the Legacy series. I believe it's 5 books altogether.
These all take place after EATG. So she will deal with the city getting back to the Pegasus and beyond!!!
The first of the Legacy books is Homecoming. That comes out in October. The second is Lost, and that comes out in February 2011.
I hope to be around when others read this book and see what their thoughts are and hopefully, to have Beya be the one to have Jo there to discuss with us what her thoughts were when writing each one of these books. I can tell you that they are heavily Teyla which makes me very happy.
I'll check out her website for you because I do know that she has other books that aren't SGA.
No luck, alas. I can still reply and see the text replies that way, but I can't seem to see the thread itself - or any other thread on the board. Go figure...
To keep this on the topic, I'm in the process of editing the third 'book' of my 'Astonishing Persistence Of Memory' trilogy: John-and-team action/adventure, with a John/Teyla component to it. There's quite a bit of editing to do, though, and things are pretty busy for me right now.
Anyone looking forward to Death Game?
I hope you got it working now hun. Sorry I missed you.
Good luck with your editting and I'm looking forward to Death Game.
We are going to start this weekend with a viewing of EATG. And hopefully, by the end of the week and a half or so left till Death Game comes out, we will have some discussion questions mainly about what we thought of EATG and what we think would happen afterwards.
After that, when Death Game comes out, we will be having a Book Club event and Jo Graham herself, the author of the novel, will have a special Q & A session in Beya. OURS EXCLUSIVELY!!! I'm so excited.
Most importantly for me, when the series Legacy comes out, we will continue our Book Club and Jo Graham is one of the authors of that series, and we will have her there as well for us to ask her any questions regarding the novels. I'm really excited about that, too.
Lastly, for December, Beya will host once again, for the second time, our Secret Elf Event.
For those of you who missed this event, check out the summary of all that was submitted for this event and I promise you, you'll have some MASSIVE John and Teyla Squee-ing!!!
Last year, it was such a great turn-out and I do hope that we have even more this year. Some EXCELLENT fics, fanart, and other came out of that event and I'm hoping more will participate.
So, John and Teyla lovers, you must join BEYA and participate in these events cause I promise you, John and Teyla lovers all over the world will be very excited about all these events to come and then some!
Team Sheppard is off world to have a celebratory meal with some newly befriendly people, but one villager is not so happy. She feels the same way as those that side with council in Inquistion. So, she tries to kill Sheppard by poisoning him. Sheppard is rushed to Atlantis and before things get any worse they put him in stasis until they can find an antidote. Things take longer then they wished and McKay ends up creating a VR Atlantis program. With the help of pods, like they had on Aurora, the team is able to spend time with him.....unsure if it's their last.
I'm assuming there to be a JT twist in there somewhere. Sounds like it will be very angsty. But then, you do angst well. They also have the tech from SG-1's Gamekeeper/Avatar/SGA's Doppelganger. Just another idea of how to interface.

Oh of course. Things come out when one is afraid of losing someone. That might be alot easier. Thanks Everlovin.

Reminds me of my own story, similar to this in a way, but mine is not yet ready for uploading, it might be several more weeks to another couple months. I know I'm keeping everyone waiting, but my muse likes to take control, if I force it, things end up not so good

Oh... it is. I haven't started and I don't want to take your idea. Back to the drawingboard. *sigh*
