Oh brother...
Now I get to read..SG1 and SGA characters to get on SGU...

Tell me would you as in if you don't watch SGU..would you tune into the show if like Shep or Teyla would be there??

I guess for my part, on SGU the only SGA characters I can see believably over there are McKay (again? Really?) or John (and that might be a bit of a stretch). I really don't see them believably incorporating any of the characters. Although, I have watched the episodes with SG-1 characters in them. So I probably would.

Have to be honest I would not watch on first run. I tried watching SGU just to give it a chance and I gave up on it not my thing. Jack is my favorite character of the whole Stargate world and I don't even bother to watch SGU when he is on it. I catch up on it later instead of first or even second run. I feel that TPTB did a disservice to SGA fans in how the end of SGA was handled and the new coming of SGU - so its kind of ironic now that they would even think about bringing in any SGA characters.I think as well it would be McKay that is written in - he seems to be the fav for that kind of deal.

They really lost me as a hard core fan with that whole scene... I still support the shows and actors I enjoy but as for anything new I would have a hard time investing in it.

For me, this is a tough one because I totally agree with you, Nina. This is a desperate way for us fans to tune in and give ratings to SGU, but you know what....Joe said in the latest con that he would appear in SGU if invited. Personally, I was shocked when I read that. But to me, that sounds like Joe himself is desperate for work, too. So, again...to support Joe and Rachel...Yes, I would watch it. *gasps in horror*

And then...what if they make John fall for one of the false female characters in that show!!! *wales in agony*

I'm with you Courtam! I love my SG-1 cast and even more for SGA, but I don't want to watch SGU just because of them.... later maybe.... and that depends on how good the eps is. I have a feeling it will be mostly McKay, Zelenka and or Woolsey and not too many more than that.

*shakes the thread to get it back on track* GUYS!! COOL IT ALREADY! You don't have to like SGU, it is bad enough many of us in this thread are bashing it and the characters in it. It is just a TV show, please I'd hate to see many of the fine very sweet people, (pretty mucheveryone in this thread) get infracted for their comments over a TV show, seeing that I'm currently the sense of reason right now, I'd liek to only say this, I for one have Enjoyed SGU.but personally I think it should only be one season,I do not think it will make it past season two. The actors put a LOT into their performaces and I actually feelfor Eli and Rush, mostly for Eli's "I'm totally lost" frameof mind and Rush's "Get working, finish what you started" frame of mind. I admit it freely, I like SGU, it is Character driven instead of totally off trhe wall needless episodes like for example, that one ep with Shep and Rodney escorting two women, that was needless, but I don;t blame anyone, other then General Boredom. He seems ot pretty much take in every episode, ripit apart and dry up the writers muses.

But please guys lets stop bashing SGU, it is OK to not like it, but to constantly bash it the way we've been, well, I've been out of this thread because of that, we keep bashing another show and to me its just another show that's on TV. Woreth a watch, but you don't have to like it, just don't openly bash it the way've been doing.

I don't see how any one was 'bashing' SGU we were talking about if characters from SGA were on it would we then watch it. Nothing mean spirited about it I gave my opinion as to why I would personally not watch first run if SGA characters were on SGU more power to enjoy who watches the show and likes it I tried didn't like it and now only watch when Jack/Daniel is at a later time.

On a positive note, the new SGA book is coming out next month. Here's the cover art and description:

Colonel John Sheppard wakes up on an alien world, in the wreckage of a Puddle Jumperâ€”and can't remember how he got there.

As he puts the pieces together, he discovers that his team is scattered across a tropical archipelago, unable to communicate with each other or return to the Stargate.

Prisoners of the local population, Sheppard and Teyla are taken as tribute to the planet's Wraith overlord, while McKay, Ronon, and Zelenka team up to mount a daring rescue...

Just ignore if if that does come to pass. If you don't see the show, then it didn't happen.

I don't see anyone outright bashing the show. People should be allowed to post their opinions. I don't think any of the SGA cast would have enough pull to get me to watch another episode of SGU. I don't like the show, simply put, for many SGU show related reasons that I get bashed when I mention. Daniel did get me to watch for a couple of minutes, but then I remembered all the reasons I stopped watching in the first place and could not watch anymore. Although I'd want to see more of John, I sincerely doubt I'd tune in, and honestly, he'd be the only one from SGA that would make me seriously consider watching another episode.

LOL! I like that idea.

I have to admit too. If Joe or Rachel were on the show.... even Jason. I would be hard for me not to watch it. But it would have to be more than a few mins of air time.

As to SGU.. I don't want to see any of the SGA characters on it... the entire cast of SGA wouldnt get me to tune into SGU....

Honestly, I can't see Shep and Teyla on SGU. I don't see how they would be connected to it. I can see McKay just like Jack, Sam and Daniel have been because they have a connection throught Stargate Command. Atlantis has no connection and I just don't see how they could fit them in. I would absolutely watch though if they were. I watch SGA just because my husband loves it. I don't at all, but if John and Teyla were on, I absolutely would watch no matter what the story.

I don't see it as bashing SGU either. We are just stating whether we want to see John and Teyla on the show. I know there are many people who like SGU. I don't want to put them down. I find it difficult to attach to the same way I did SG1 and SGA instantly. I keep watching just out of my love for Stargate. I don't as of yet feel that I can't wait for the new ep to come out as I did with SG1 and SGA, That "must see" feeing is not there, BUT I am giving it a chance>>>>
