Lea, that's EXCELLENT news about Pete....give him a big hug when he gets home, if it's okay, of course.

Bosco is a character from Third Watch. It was a show that is very similar to the ones that incorporate crime drama. Bosco was a cop. And in the episode that Cazz sent me to illustrate an example of how John may be affected in his breakdown, she sent me that video to get some ideas.

Here's some slight info on the show. I believe it was a 1999 show on Prime Time. There were some popular names in that show like Jason Wiles, Coby Bell, Michael Beach, Kim Raver, Eddie Cibrian, Tia Texada, etc...
And it had some good episodes. I watched only a few nothing on a regular basis.

Anywho, Cazz was been extremely helpful in getting me to see or to think of how Sheppard would have his breakdown.

Oohhh. Bosco. Ok. I know the show and watched a few eps too. Just watched the panic attack he had on Youtube. I will see what I can do, but probably not today.....
Pete will be home in about an hour or so.

Cazz, Laura, how much of Shep's breakdown or panic attack is in your ep(s)?
      Spoiler:
I rather know ahead of time before I think about starting this. It's kinda harder going by a future ep vs past eps. If you know what I mean. Because this was done ahead of time... like months ago. So, whoever writes this ep has to conform to whatever is already done.... Not an easy task IMO.

I've got a wonderful fic rec! This is by Penknife, and it's VERY ADULT, but it's absolutely adorable John/Teyla, with both of them so in character and ringing true. In which John has a problem. Rodney suggests Xanax, but Teyla has a different sort of solution in mind....

Ok, 3rd attempt. GW acting up for anyone else or is it simply hating me today?

blue asked me to share this in here; I copied it from my post in the whump thread.

So, guess what I did today. That full series box of SGA was still sitting on a shelf in our store, kind of begging to be bought. And so, I did. LOL. Interested in some more details (and pics) from that?

            Spoiler:

The set of 5 seasons (all extra boxed by season) comes with a bonus disc, featuring

aired episodes of "Vegas" and "Enemy at the Gate".

            Mission 100 - Atlantis reaches a milestone.
            14 minutes.

Some really nice interviews and clips /Bts shots with the cast and crew. JF included, and actually not only included but he´s in many, many, many of them.
            Some highlights:

David goofing around and Joe cracking up.

It´s actually cuter on film but hey...

            At 6:27, this scene unfolds...

Some stuff from everybody´s last day of shooting.

Rachel Luttrell - [stands up from the table, bows to the applauding cast and crew members, and takes a deep breath]."Okay. You´re embarrassing me. [laughs]. I thought about what I wanted to say, and I have.. nothing. I have nothing. [sheepish laughter]. Except, thank you. You guys have been like a family to me, and I´m really going to miss working with you."

Jason Momoa. "[looks down]. Tough. Tough. Tough. Tough. I thought it´d be easier. It´s not. [waves and slinks away.]

David Hewlett. "Thank you very much. [crew member thanks him for cupcakes]. Cupcakes? [frowns]. He later says he´s gonna miss McKay

Jewel gets her goodbyes as Joe saunters over to her and gives her a hug. Equal to the one he gave David. Though, that one didn´t make it in here. *pouts*

            okay, now it´s Joe´s turn.

Sheppard´s scene from EatG goes from 10:00 - 13:00 (ca), then

            Joe slides off the F302
(it´s a bit dark here, I hope you can see him. Again, better on the disc.)

... a crew member announces it´s "Joe Flanigan´s last day of shooting."

The crew cheers as Joe slides down. Joe actually got a little shy here, I think. LOL.Then he addresses the crew. "I honestly think this is the best crew I ever worked with in my life. And earlier in the year, when my dad passed away, in the middle of the shooting, I went to my trailer and I wasn´t quite sure what to do. And I wanted to be here. So, you guys helped make this a great environment. I love you guys."

from the Retrospective. Ok, I confess, I watched them late last night and scribbled some fave´s down, so some of this further down may have been from the Mission 100th. *blush*

            Retrospective (27 min)

            About working with the cast/crew.

Joe Flanigan. "If I wasn´t working with the people I´m working with, particularly the cast and crew, I probably wouldn´t be here. Because it´s just too difficult a schedule to pull off and not enjoy on a daily basis. And the irony is, I feel like in the 5th year, I finally found the right formula to stay mentally and physically intact, pull of a full day of shooting every day as a lead of a TV show, travel to another country, raise three boys every weekend and come back without losing my mind."

Rachel Luttrell. "Well, I mean I can´t imagine this journey without that relationship, without that camaraderie. And that´s what I´ll miss. [teary eyed] I´m gonna cry. But yes, certainly in the beginning, we spent a lot of time with each other socially and that was very important to me."

David Hewlett. "You know the neat thing about chemistry among actors is, you can get that from tension and you can get that from, you know, from a true appreciation and from affection."

Jewel Staite: "This cast is like a family, in every sense of the word. They really love each other, but they fight. And pull each other´s hair. True. I had my hair pulled by David Hewlett."

David Hewlett: "We do get along. I mean, we tease each other, mercilessly, you know, to the point of screaming tantrums. But you know, it´s fun. That´s definetely rare. I mean, working on shows where everyone gets along all the time as well as we do... we dont necessarily hang out together all the time... but there is just this great sort of... I think there is a mutual respect and stuff."

Jason Momoa [evil grin]: "I hate them, I hate them all."

There´s a cute bts of Joe playing with his "gun" during that speech.

Jewel. "Joe and Jason are like brothers from another mother. [laughs]. They luuuv each other, those guys. [laughs again]."

Jason Momoa: "It´s amazing me and Joe don´t kill each other. We live together, eat together. Ít´s ridiculous."

Brad Wright. "The one thing that I think is great about our cast is how much they have grown. When Joe and David are doing a scene, on the pier in the Shrine for example, and they´re both saying "Okay, this is a great scene. We´re gonna hit this one ouf of the park." And you can see the elecricity between them. But that happens after some time, you know. It doesn´t happen right away."

About the show reaching 100 episodes/and the cancellation.

Joe Mallozzi: "We´re really proud with the accomplishment, the stories we´ve told-"

Carl Binder. "It feels like a great accomplishment. I mean, SG-1 did 200, so it kind of doesn´t quite feel as succesful as SG-1. But we have to set that aside, because that´s the longest running science-fiction show in history."

Joe Mallozzi. "Stargate SG-1, you know, obviously had run for a long time. And, you know, people respected the show within the industry. But the success of Atlantis has really turned Stargate SG-1 into a Stargate franchise."

Rachel Luttrell [looking really sad here ] "You know, we were going out on a high. It´s not like, you know, we were yanked in our first season, with our little, kind of, fledgling legs. We were able to develope a really great, solid, feeling show and unit and go out on a high note really."

(...) "I guess we all found out that season five was going to be "it" about three weeks ago and yeah, I was very surprised. I think we all were. We all anticipated that we would have at least a season six. You know, we were doing really well, well in the ratings and we started off the year with a bang, winning the People´s Choice Award. So, yeah, I mean, you know, all signs kidn of pointed toward it .. continuing. So, I felt a little bit like the rug had been pulled out from under me."

(...) "Then, like. "Wow, this is the last time we´re gonna be in the Daedalus. This is the last time we´re gonna be in the gear-up room. The last time we´re gonna be in the Jumper. So, you know.. What we´ve always shared as a cast is a sense of humor. So, you know, we´ven been joking about it the whole way, but I think everybody is melancholy." RL. / Retrospective.

But to leave this on a less sad note. These McKeller shots are totally worth it. Trust me as a non McKeller fan!

            Spoiler:

and if simply to enjoy Joe and Rachel´s reaction. *evil snicker*

looks like some of us aren´t alone with our feelings!

Paul McG also thanked the fans for the save Beckett campaign.

Carl Binder. "Sounds corny. But I`m gonna miss the characters. I´ll miss McKay and Sheppard and Ronon and Teyla and Woolsey and all of them. I´m gonna miss that whole environment (...). I think it would have been nice to tell a few more stories of these people, to see them. But we´ll get to see them again in the movies."

The Retrospective closes with Jason. "I´m honored. I don´t know any other show like this. I don´t know any other fans like it too. It´s cool to have been a part of that. [embarrassed grin]. I always get locked up and shy when they´re around, but God bless you. [smiles] Thanks for watching."

I probably missed a huge chunk. But at least I didn´t regret buying the set. LOL.
Guess I´ll be selling some single sets soon

Elfie has no words for all the goodies from the discs! OMG! *is almost teary eyed!* Thank you so much for posting!

Now, I hope that those of you who are blessed enough to be able to be in Vancouver for con this weekend come back and give us every last detail! I so hope that JF has something happening for him! He's too good of an actor not too! Oh... and also... I know that this isn't JT related but, I'm a massive Steve Bacic fan (RHADE)... any juicy bits about him would fabby also! Especially, if he coming back as Goran on Big Love. I hate the show, but, just with SB in the scene standing there, I can bear the burden! .....Seriously!
