My brother who is a big Stargate fan...will most likely watch it...have to ask him what he thinks later on... I'll get back to you on that *lol* but hell I wouldn't be surprised if he likes it...it's Stargate.. hrmmm is it *lol* ... it's a younger cast.. he is in his 20s and if it's sci-fi and action he usually likes it... but I'll see what he will have to say and how he ranks it opposite SG-1 and Atlantis..

I for one saw both epsidoes twice. On TV this morning (DVR = awesome) and also on todou.com. I for one enjoyed the two episodes. It is right up my alley I think.

I don't have any high hopes for this show...
Isn't this the Stargate show that is costing the most to make... if it is...this should hit large large numbers to even be able to considered staying on...

And if the polls on the Syfy forum are anything to go by then... oh dear 27% have given it an F, the next highest is B at 13%.

SGU rant
Spoiler:
4 millions you say... well gee so they made double the amount...
In the end I think there will be the ones who will watch... but I can't for the life of me think they will even be staying on the 2 million mark for long if that was all they pulled for a premiere that has been pimped and talked about so much by the creators...then I also think they have pissed of a lot of Stargate fans..mostly Atlantis fans maybe that will in the end just bite them in the ass
If they are able to pull of a show that I think cost that much money to make and just shelf the movies all together..I'm sorry then I hope this shows fail so darn much it will make their heads spin and then they can see what they really gave up and what kind of mistake they did... Stargate is really all they have... I can't see them doing anything else..or get hired to do any "primetime" stuff on big networks.. so if they fail this and keep trying to get this to work and not make anything with the other movies.. and I think by shelfing the movies like that and talk ill about the two previous shows..will only make more fans even more hostile...

Well it seems like my brother liked it...Universe I mean...
Still there are things that could be better he says...and there are a few characters that gets on his nerves...but he feels it's to early to tell how it will fair for him,...
He says it's Stargate in every sense but yet isn't...
Seems like if you are looking for adventure and action this might not be anything for you...but if you want the relationships and character stuff you will like it...
Visual effect are as good as they can be according to him... he feels it was better then Atlantis season 5 and SG1 season 9-10... but he thinks it will never beat SG1 season 1-8 since SG1 is special to him...
I guess I waited that kind of reaction from him...

Ahem....
SGU:Spoiler:I for one, enjoyed it. It is right up my personal alley and to me the sense of going against the clock seems to be the perfect stand point, the ship itself is amazing. Dr Ross (is that the guys name?) is pretty cool headed, reminds me a LOT of Commander Adama from BSG (elder Adama).
Again I enjpoyed it, Ming Na was in it and she did well, i liked that and in fact another reason I like the series is that there is a whole brand freaking new stargate too. (the whole thing spins!!). Eli is funny at times. "I call it a Kino" for the little floating cameras and such.
So personally I for one enjoyed it.
