and the banner for those of you who would like to promote this idea for others to join the Beya community discussion and rewrites and for this forum as well.

I'd like to get different ideas and incorporate as many writers as we can so that who knows, maybe we can come up with more than 20 fics/episodes...the idea is to get writers and to do what we love to have seen!

I was reading through all the suggestions for the S6 Beya Challenge.

And suddenly, SNAP! An Idea popped into my head!

Spoiler:

Ok- so this is a combo of several people's ideas.

It's an idea for the Earth based ones- set while Atlantis is still on Earth; so you could say this is for the Season opener/two-parter.

[Details from EatG allude me, so those small details can be filled in later. NOTE TO SELF: WATCH EATG!]

The IOA wants Atlantis to remain on Earth- & Woolsey agrees (ex-IOA stuff, feels he has to agree with them....).
John finds out Nancy's changed jobs to HWS- & is involved in the IOA's attempts to keep Atlantis on Earth (her new job reveals to her where John's been, btw- cos in 'Outcast' it seemed she didn't know where he was, prob due to her not having security clearance, lol!).
Much as I don't really like Kanaan, I think he'd work well in this. So, seeing that there's nothing really bonding him & Teyla together (minus the fact there's a wee bub involved, ok?)- he soon catches on that there's an attraction b/w J&T. At first he tries to win Teyla over- but a rather rough run-in with Ronon (I'm thinking R- being the true in-show J/Ter he is - notices K's desperate attempts to have Teyla, & confronts K (eg pin him to the wall- that would be a perfect Squee! moment) & tells him to let her go, as he (K) can't ever compete with John for Teyla. (Squees errupt)
So, K takes R's threat/advice, & tells Teyla......you know, a kind-of break-up talk. Details can be worked out.
Meanwhile, John's starting to feel pressured into taking the IOA's side- thinking that Atlantis is needed more on Earth (the underlying reason is he knows/thinks Teyla's gonna go back to the PG with TJ & Kanaan, & so he can't bear to have the constant reminder of the 'what if'/'what he could have had he acted on his feelings' around). So he plans to go see the IOA lot, & tell them he agrees with them. He packs some clothes for the trip, & heads to his door- which opens to reveal Teyla standing there (remember that scene in.....was it 'Doppelganger'? where he opens the door & she's there & she ends up wrapping her arms around him???). They're O.D (off duty)- just to make that clear now. Before he can say anything, she asks if they could talk, motioning to inside his room in a request to talk in there. He starts to say he can't right now, but takes one look into her eyes, & he says 'yes' to the talk.
Long story short- he finds out from her that her & K are no more; that K will still be there to look after TJ when needed (hence the 'invisible babysitter' name gets its use by us fans), & a spark of hope forms inside John at this. She's about to leave, when he speaks her name. She looks around at him. They each look into each other's eyes- each hoping inside something might happen between them, not knowing the other one feels the same....- & there's a passionate kiss [trumps the Conversion one, 'k?]
This is the motivation J needs to change his mind- he's gonna fight for Atlantis' return to the PG! (whoot!)
The IOA were expecting John to agree- though they wanted him to confirm it for them by actually saying it. John arrives, & instead of him agreeing with them, he shocks them by saying he believes Atlantis should return to the PG.
[if the first two eps turn out to be a 2-parter, then I'd say that'd be the best place to end on; ideally a shot of the IOA panel looking shocked, followed by 'To Be Continued']
And then Ep 2 would be the fight for Atlantis & co to be returned to the PG.
Oh- & I totally agree that the Medical Board would have issues with McKeller. I mean, there must be a rule........so maybe Ep 2's sub-plot could be that?

SUMMARY!
Ep 1:
Plot: The IOA wanting Atlantis to stay on Earth- Woolsey agreeing, John against.
Sub-Plot: Either the J/T/K story (if it's not considered part of the Plot), or following the others.

Ep 2:
Plot: The fight fort Atlantis to return to PG.

In other SGA news, I recieved an email in regard to my Blu-Ray cover design- it got rejected AGAIN!
So I give up. There's so many T&C's to work within it's just not worth it. (that & the fact that when I tried fixing it today, damn Photoshop froze & had to be shut down cos it had 'Not Responding' grr!)

I love everyone's ideas...and we are almost on the same page.

For those of you who want to see Nancy, I only want to see her in John Sheppard and Teyla Emmagan's wedding.

I agree with others that she brought nothing to her role besides the fact that now I know why that marriage didn't work and that now I know why John left EARTH!

Kanan...gosh, his presence hasn't been around much at all and yet the man has made a significant hole in John's path. He needs to be dealt with carefully before John and Teyla can move on.

I love Wedj's fics because, in my view, she's dealt with that whole plot very nicely in her fics especially her latest one, Lost.

Loooove everyone's point of view and we can have different variations of different fics if anyone wants to take additional writing.

All this will get organized by the lovely Cazz and I.

I like your ideas Although I think John and Teyla kissing in the same ep that her and Kanaan break up is too quick, it could easily be left at giving John hope and fighting to go back to Pegasus though Plus I think the McKeller issues as a subplot is too much for this episode, there'l be a hell of lot going on, but something could be alluded to that sows seeds for that to happen later in the series. (and that my friends is called an arc, maybe someone should tell TPTB that )

But, I have to think about how Kanan looked at John in Search and Rescue. For some reason, I think that Kanan knows of John Sheppard more than John obviously knew of him before Teyla told him of her pregnancy.

What if Kanan knew of Teyla's feelings for John? What if Kanan knew before hand what and where her true feelings were? But because he liked her or loved her or wanted her, whatever, they fpund comfort in each others arms. I'd like to think that this is what Teyla did with Kanan, find comfort and love even if it was at second sight!

So, would it be so hard to believe that once John realizes and accepts that he doesn't want to give up on Teyla or something happens that makes him desperately seek Teyla, that for Kanan, well, like Scifi mentioned, the man is a coward. That's all we've seen of him. So, will he really put up a fight for Teyla? I don't think so.

I think he'll give her up very quickly. If we even think that they are actually together.

What if Kanan is just there to babysit and there's actually nothing intimate between him and Teyla?

That might be a bit of a stretch, but we never did get that clarified!

For all we know, they're not even married!

Such horrible plot for my Teyla! She deserved better!

IMO i think we should definitely include Teyla's perspective of him cause it just might lessen his role as a plot device. I dont like him or anything, but we gotta be fair to Teyla, which is definitely something the writers didnt to this season

Kanaan needs to be a good guy in this. Whether or not he takes the high road is a different matter.
Nancy, too is a good woman. I think it's a general consensus that she left John because of his lack of time spent with her. I think he would go there again, especially if he feels Teyla is happy with Kanaan.
John and Teyla should not kiss. Especially not after she's just broken up with Kanaan. Give the lassie some credit; let us not do a ptb.

In S&R, he was a total coward. I mean, Teyla pretty much pleaded with him to get him to help her escape, yet he refused- even though she's carrying his child (or so we believe- has anyone actually checked to confirm that TJ's Kanaan's? I mean, Michael was set on getting TJ- 'all for the plan' stuff- yet NOONE actually considers the possibility Mickey's had a part in it! hmph!)
But then when K happens to meet Teyla, TJ & the team in the corridor- at which point he knew Teyla would be heading off the ship- he decides he CAN help her (but I swear he it's all cos of the team!).
He's an utter coward- he's no match for John!

Having said earlier that I don't really want Earth eps for our virtual season 6, I got an idea for one.

The team are taking a few days off, maybe from the politics of trying to get Atlantis back to Pegasus, and they go to the Alien Museum in Roswell, NM. Yes there really is a museum there. Something goes wrong. Maybe one of the wraith from EatG or some replicator blocks from Outcast survived and is in the New Mexico desert. Yes? No? I just have a visual of Ronon and Teyla getting their pictures taken in front of the museum for laughs.

Hee hee cute idea with them at the museum.

My idea...

I think it will need to be a Pegasus set one... gives it more urgency.

Jess will know where this idea came from (remember the possible SGU thing?).

The City gets infected and it affects the people who have the ATA gene. Leaves those who don't have it to work out what is wrong. They don't make the connection between the City and the people... As the City gets worse (for some reason, they don't realise the city is 'failing'), the people get worse. It's when the life support in the city goes down and the people suffering slip into a coma/something that they figure out the connection, then they need to work out how to fix the city so they can fix the people.

Ooooo. Whump, angst and teamwork. I love the idea.

Oh oh Cazz, I think we should have some Teyla whumpage seeing as I didn't get my fix in S5 at all

Hmmm. I like some of the ideas, but I have to agree with Cazz on the quickness from K to J. I seriously don't think that Teyla would be like that, but that's my opinion.
Sorry about your cover art. I gave up. I keep getting different size pics for the thing.

As for a story idea....

My thoughts for a first ep is that they are in search of some ZPMs and one way of possibly being able to do that is go to other realities by going to Area 51 and using the Lazarus Mirror.
But during this time, the IOA is trying to figure a way of keeping the city there on Earth because of the lack of protection when their chair got taken out by the Wraith attack. Woolsey tries to appeal to the sense of honor to the people in the PG, but the battle is not easy.
Also in Area 51: After visiting another reality, they are able to retrieve some things they need to fix the chair.
The team also, while in AU, find an abandon SGC base and are able to retrieve some ZPMs.

I know it's not totally sound. Just spouting ideas.

Between interuptions and phone calls, etc this response took me hours to do.
