John Sheppard/Teyla Emmagan Appreciation/Ship/Discussion Thread

Hi all.

Well, after surviving through a 46 DEGREE day (although from 3-6pm I was inside the cinema watching 'the Curious Case Of Benjamin Button'- the longest movie I've ever seen since the LOTR series), I spent 42 min last night watching GitM.
AND I DIDNT UNDERSTAND ANY PART OF IT WHATSOEVER!
I dunno if it was the plot or what (lol- that rhymes!), but it got sooo confusing. I kinda understood

the whole how "weir" became some energy thing & how she got to Atlantis

but everything else seemed truly non-understandable.

Although I must say I shouted in fright at 2 points in the episode:

The first was when the Jumper bumped into the 'Gate (since WHEN have there been booster things on a space gate that re-align the gate???)
The second was when that burst of electricity ("lightning" as they referred to it as) narrowly missed hitting John.

Oh, & I also hunched my shoulders & winced when Koracen knocked him over near the end.

About 15 min into the episode, I realised the next ep is 'the Shrine'- & knowing that it's a McKeller ep, I'm not looking forward to it.


As for my S&R re-write:

I'm up to a bit I've been eager to write, however it's taking time since it's a situation not seen in any episode.........plus I'm trying to pin the characters as they are in the show- it's hard!

Yesterday's session was canceled- they said the forecast 44 degrees was too hot.
But we re-scheduled for Tuesday. Apparently, the five of us will be possibly cut down to four by the end of that session.

Hey all my UK friends!

I've got a request from a friend that if I'm able to find Hula Hoops if I can get some and bring some home for her.

She says that they are chips (like potato chips) and that they kind of taste like McDonald's french fries. Are they a common snack or whatever?

And, how much are they? The currency conversion always gets me when figuring how stuff is.

I also posted this in the whump thread too. So, if it seems to some of you that this is redundant, you're not imagining things!

Sunday is my favourite episode! Even though they killed Carson, it was still a fabulous way to end it.

Looking back at season one I really don't consider it my favourite season. In fact I find a lot of the eps a bit on the boring side now and definitely prefer later seasons.

Before I Sleep was my least favourite episode of the season so I'm moving on to The Brotherhood... again not really a great ep and one I just skimmed over on second viewing.

Teyla was by John's side most of the time and I like the way she is checking him out in this photo.. everyone else seems intent on looking upwards but Teyla can't keep her eyes off John...
