I agree with a lot of what you say Reiko, much the same as Laura earlier

I do think the loss of Elizabeth in particular has affected Shep, they were a cohesive unit in charge of Atlantis, they played off each and they relied on each in leadership issues. He lost his crutch in a way, his moral compass, and felt that he had to take on Elizabeth's responsibilty by himself, which only hightens his grief and guilt of leaving her behind. I don't think that with either Carter or Woolsey he had the same dependant relationship.

I assumed that Shep already had those people on board and then went went to try and save the medic with them on board.. so if that was the case then he did put them in danger.. but if they were just close to the crash side (which I still don't think is the case) then that would be different... but either way I can see Shep blaming himself

He could have had them already with them, but it could have been soldier friends who decided to join him on the mission (like our team would). Which would make their losses even more tragic. I watched bits of Vegas again last night.. it didnt say anything about Shep being involved with the medic as some have stated..just that he went behind enemy lines to extract a field medic and was shot down killing 4 marines and 8 civilians... so it doesnt really say if they were on board or if the Helicopter killed them on the ground.. but either way poor Sheppy had the guilt of those lives on his consience.. I just hate that convo between Shep and Rodney... he's just so smug and condensending to him and I hate that they make Sheppard out to be some drop out who barely passed his Detective exams...that's also a dig against his intelligence as well. I wish I had asked RCC why Rodney didnt even bother to send anyone for Sheppard and just left him to die alone like that.. ugh !! There is very little I liked about Vegas .. except that Shep looked smokin hot...

OH well back to happier times...

Sheppard gives a nod of sorts, "Yeah.. you DO know everything"

Rodney also says that it´s "a hard choice and he certainly didn´t intend for things to go as badly as they did"

Hmm, not really JT that bit I do love it when Shep sticks up for Teyla against Bates Bates was a good antagonist, I wish he'd been in it more

Loved how John defends Teyla...how Bates sees John is letting his personal feelings cloud his judgement..
Also the look on John's face when Rodney tells him Bates wanted him to go through Teyla's stuff..how mad he got and the disbelief and felt like someone just punched him when Rodney said Bates was right..and then the relief on John's face when he saw the cause realizing it was something he had given her.. and also the smirk or grin on his face when Teyla apologizes being late to the briefing.. and of course not to mention when John has to hold Teyla back from hitting Bates again...

Damn I can't pic just one single moment... *sigh* I'm hopeless *LOL*
