Well guys, the finale tonight. A bittersweet ending to this show and it's just hitting me now that it wont be here next season. But also i'm sad and angry that it had to end this way. Lets just say, the ending wasn't bad, but since it was the last episode ever!...they so could have added so much more

team moments. And wow, hardly any JT at all. Talk about pulling of the bandaid quick!. Ah well, i'd say lets hope for the movies but something tells me i better not hold my breath on that one lol.

One good thing came out of all this though, i got to meet such great and wonderful people like yourselves, for that i'm truly happy .

It should have been a two parter or 2 hrs long. Then they could have put many more team or personal moments in it. I really liked it though but I just did not want it to end that quickly.

I know. To me, it feels like a friend is dying. I just really can't believe that they did this to us. I just don't know what I'll watch now since Atlantis was my favorite show and I really don't watch much else except SG1 reruns. I have to go out tonight so I'll watch it on DVR later.

I know what you mean...it's no fun when shows you love goes of the air or characters/actors you have enjoyed leaves the show...

SGA is yet another one of my favorites that bites the dust way to early..they would had so much more to do with it also if they would have actually commited more to this show then treating it like the black sheep and all they can think of is how to make another one..

Now I only got one show and one couple left on the air on TV that is my ultimate favorite.. guess I should say for how long that lasts..

So, I took some ideas you guys were throwing out a few weeks ago about Inquisition and how it could have been better. Anyway, I ficced.

Disclaimer - I don’t own SGA. Teyla and Ronon would be getting a lot more screen time if I did.

Spoilers - Inquisition (512), Sateda (304), Rising (101, 102), Missing (407), Kindred 1 (420), The Seed (502). That’s all I can think of.

A/N - I’m just trying to fill in one of the many places tptb fell short. Especially during season 5. As a refresher, Shiana - council member who was definitely going to vote guilty; Dimas - was willing to listen to reason; Kelore - was the one Woolsey talked into voting for the Lanteans. I got the names of the council members off the Gateworld transcripts. They’re great over there.


“You know, the wraith were out there culling and devastating cultures before we even got here. We’ve heard stories about that happening everywhere we go. It’s not as if they were all asleep and letting the galaxy repopulate itself.” John was looking for a way, any way to make the council see reason.

“Of what do you speak?” Dimas asked.

“Well for instance, one of my teammates is from a planet called Sateda. Ten years ago, the wraith came and culled his planet. Look, it’s not my story to tell. And really, I don’t know all of it. But you could ask him,” John promised.

John stumbled back into their holding cell. “Well, that went well.”

“What is happening up there?” Teyla asked.

“Oh, they’re putting us on trial. Apparently, Atlantis is responsible for all of the woes in the galaxy.” John was disgusted with the whole process. There were times he didn’t know why he bothered to risk his ass for the people of this galaxy.

“That is not true, John. Things are difficult out there. More so than ever before. But there is hope now when there was none before.”

“Yeah, well, I’d like Ronon to come with me one of these times we’re called up there. Testify about what happened on Sateda and your years running And now that I’m thinking if it, it’d be a good idea to tell your story too, Teyla.”

Ronon merely grunted at that. Teyla nodded.

Woolsey was shoved back into the cell. “Ronon. Teyla. I think the time has come for your testimony. I miscalculated one of the members of the council in there.”

“Shiana. Yeah, she’ll twist anything so it’s our fault.” John absently mentioned.

“Yes, well. I think that while she may not be move by my story of loss. Or yours. She might be moved by Ronon’s. And Teyla’s story.”

Teyla spoke up. “What did you tell her of your loss?”

“Well the question of the replicators came up. I mentioned how we lost Dr. Weir. She gave an impassioned speech of how there are people who have witnessed the deaths of thousands because of the replicators. How she saw her village, her husband and children murdered.”

“I can see why you need us to talk,” Ronon rumbled.

“I think they want me in there at least one more time. They did mention other charges. I think that will be when best to present our side of the story and not to simply answer their ‘charges.’”

“We will be ready.” Teyla assured him.

The trio entered the court room with a surface assurance. “Before we get started, I would like for two of the people you have accused to tell their stories. I believe that you might hear echoes of what you have gone through,” Woolsey opened.

Ronon straightened. “I’m from a planet called Sateda. Many of you might know of it. We traded with many planets. We were a proud society of millions of people. There were great cities, academies of learning, arts, and more. It was because of this that we caught the attention of the wraith.”

“I was a simple soldier. A good one, but still. My wife was a doctor. We had warning that the wraith were coming. The chieftain was on the daily announcements with rhetoric about how Sateda had to fight. If we just stood up to the wraith, they would deem us too big a hassle and leave us alone. The taskmasters all knew that we stood no chance. It was merely rhetoric so the people wouldn’t be so hopeless.”

“I got my wife a place on my taskmaster’s staff so she could evacuate off world. I underestimated, in my fear, how much she wanted to stay and help.”

Ronon swollowed. Where before, he was looking at his memories, he raised his eyes and looked at each council member. “My unit died in the first wave. I went to find Melena at the hospital. Try one last time to get her off world to safety. There were people in the halls. Walking wounded everywhere. I found her in a children’s ward. Fighting to save the children. I was ready to drag her to the Ring of the Ancestors. She pled for a little girl’s life. And another’s. She wouldn’t leave them. I saw the explosion that took her life and the lives of those children.”

“The wraith captured me. Kept me in one of their cocoons. When it finally came to feed on me, a small part of me was looking forward to death. I’d be with Melena again. But the wraith stopped feeding on me. I still don’t know why. Planted a tracking device in my back and turned me into a runner.”

“For the next seven years I ran. I tried not to stay in any one place for more than a few hours. Once, I was sick. The people of a village helped me out. Gave me shelter for a night. The next day, the wraith came and decimated the village. I never let that happen again.”

“Finally, I was on an uninhabited planet and came across Sheppard and Teyla. It was them and the other Lanteans who let me stop running. Who gave me a home. Who have helped me in my mission to kill every wraith that stink up the galaxy.”

Today, there are about three hundred of my people left. They have become refugees, when once we took them in.”

“So yes, I know your pain. I know your anger and your desire to blame somebody. Anybody and make them pay. But the Lanteans have the best means to be out from under the thumb of the wraith.”

Teyla stepped forward. “I am Teyla Emmagan. Leader of the Athosians. We have the privilege of being the first people the Lanteans met in this galaxy. On that occasion, Colonel Sheppard unknowingly activated a piece of technology that caught the interest of the wraith. They came as was described to you before. The Lanteans, however, rescued us. They gave the Athosians hope that people can escape the wraith. They then gave my people safe harbor from the wraith.”

“Then a year ago, Michael came to our home on New Athos. He took all of my people intending to perform his experiments on them. He held them captive for almost a year. He changed many of them. Made them so they were uncaring of who they once were. They tortured their own friends and family.”

“Through it all, the Lanteans helped me search for them. They continued to encourage me. They gave me resources to search for them. It was through their efforts that my people are again restored to their homes and their former selves. Among them, the father of my child.”

“These people have offered hope to many people in this galaxy. Where before, we were little more than cattle to the wraith, we now have the ability to fight the wraith. To end the threat to our children and their children. Are we so afraid for ourselves that we would leave this problem to our children’s children? I would prefer to fight now to save them later.”

The council sat back. Shiana was silent was silent for once. Dimas and Kelore were thoughtful. It was Dimas who broke the silence. “You have given us much to think about. We will take a break from these proceedings to ponder them. We will expect Mr. Woolsey back to answer the final charge in one hour.” And with that, the council members rose and left the room.

Back in the cell, Woolsey turned to Teyla. “Thank you. Your testimony may have made a difference. You, Specialist Dex were surprisingly eloquent. For someone who is usually so laconic, I never knew you had it in you.”

WOW, this was wonderfully done! NOW this is how it should have been done in the show. It would have given the ep so much more weight, made it more watch worthy. Ronon and Teyla just hanging around in a cell when their POVs and personal experiences with the Lateans would have been valuable esp to someone like Woolsey *if* he was the highly skilled lawyer he touted himself to be.

Again, excellent job. And post on FF.net...you need to let many more read

Hi guys. Sorry I've not been around much - I'm studying for my exams so trying to keep my head down.

I come bearing gifts, however. Here is little kind of unfinished piece that I don't remember if I've shared with you

Title: Full Beds

“You okay?”

They hadn’t been resting for long in the quiet, darkened quarters and, despite the deep exhaustion seeping into his bones, he’d lain awake listening to his two team mates’ deep easy breathing. He didn’t blame them really; Ronon hadn’t been sleeping well at all and they’d been on edge ever since they’d come to the drilling platform and Teyla... well, she deserved all the sleep she could get after being inside the Wraith Queen’s head. John himself had been on the verge of descent into slumber when he’d heard her breathing alter followed by a jolt of her body.

In the darkness, he’d turned to see her half-raised from the bed, one hand on her heart and the other pressing against the side of her head. She’d lain back down, staring up at the ceiling and John could almost feel the tension in her muscles, feel the strain of her lungs as they tried to regulate her breathing. He’d even managed to sit up and lean towards her before she’d realised he was there.

When she’d turned to him and smiled in response to his question, John could see the sheen of sweat on her forehead; saw wisps of hair matted at her temples, her neck. Even her chest was doused with sweat. He frowned at her and glanced to Ronon when he heard the man grunt and toss in his bed before settling again, facing the wall.

“I am fine.”

Her tone didn’t convince him. He raised the bed lamp above him and squinted. He noticed she did too and he hoped that his action wouldn’t disturb Ronon. A quick glance in his direction told him the Satedan had not even stirred. Teyla too sat up and rubbed her hands down her legs, and John followed the movement with his eyes. He could see her squint, saw the way her eye twitched and he pursed his lips.

“Sore head?” She nodded, albeit minutely and then tried to smile in his direction. “Yeah, me too.”

“It has been a trying day.”

“I’ll say,” he whispered back and lowered his head. He heard her shuffling and when he looked up, he was surprised to see her standing in front of him.

“May I?” John nodded and shifted slightly when she sat down on the bed beside him. He fidgeted with his hands but kept his eyes fixed on Ronon. He knew what she was trying to do; she’d been trying to get him to talk since he’d come back from Earth but he just wasn’t able to. He saw her raise a hand to massage her temple and he winced in acknowledgement of her pain. Slowly, she leaned back against the wall and John angled his body towards her. She’d closed her eyes and leaned her head against the wall. He could see the tired lines around her eyes, the dark circles and he wondered just what it was that she had gone through while attached to the mind of a Wraith Queen; he couldn’t – nor did he want to, really – imagine having someone else inside his head again. Not like that. “I am fine.” John realised he was staring when he saw the tolerant smile flit across her lips and he glanced away, dimming the light once more.

He could hear her sigh of appreciation.

He pushed himself back against the wall and closed his eyes too but all he could see were the eyes of the Queen and he popped his lids open again, staring at his hands.

“I...” he cleared his throat lightly and cast a glance in Ronon’s direction. “I know... I know that today was completely different and... I know what it’s like, having someone take over your body...” He trailed off and flicked his gaze in her direction and saw that she was looking at him once more, a tiny, understanding smile tugging at the corner of her lips. He half smiled and looked away. “So, you know...” He could feel the awkwardness gnawing at his side and he wanted to toss it away but he knew it was immoveable.

The pic on the balcony just summed up the season.. no team feel whatsover and it just hightlighted how fragmented the team have become... season 5 was all about McKays love and the final scene even had to give a nod to that.. but nothing to a team who had been together for 5 years....

Eatg felt like a bunch of random folks thrown together to save the day and no friendship or warm moments between any of them.. at times it just felt sterile and robotic.

Eatg is so chocker block full of action that I found it entertaining on my first viewing several weeks ago but I get more disappointed with it the more I watch it... so many glaring plot holes don't help and really all it boiled down to was 45 minutes of crammed action with no character moments at all.

Too many plot devices like Carson flying the city.. since when did he accquire such piloting skills.. sigh !! Atlantis landing in the ocean near SFO bay would have caused a tsunami and nobody even notices... but I could have overlooked these glaring plot holes if the episode had done justice to every character and given all of them a good send off and not just hightlight McKay and Keller constantly..

.. the ptb keep saying they didn't know the show was ending and couldn't change things.. but if this was the case why were they so intent of giving Rodney his happy ever after.... I'm convinced they knew all about the cancellation long before the announcement.. they wanted their new show to start and that meant the ending of SGA so they could have least given each character the screentime and attention they gave to McKay... but instead we got subjected to a season full of McKeller and a finale that didn't do justice to the characters we have come to know and love.

It should have been a two parter instead of having BS crammed down our throats.... Eatg was crammed with action but it lacked any heart or soul, but alas that was what the writers had turned most of season 5 into anyway..

Exactly Blue! I'm going to say it! And, I really thought I would never say this about my favorite show! I hated this episode all together! Give me one freakin' break! It was like Sheppard was the stepchild no one wanted! Teyla didn't even have like ten lines of dialogue and at least Ronon got some screen time. Though not much because, they were too busy showcasing the Mckay/Carter/Keller hour! TPTB took a wonderfully written show and in the end, turned it into crap!

Even G-ma thought so also. she kept asking: Why are they screwing over the Sheppard character? He is the lead actor in this show. I don't give a damn about the Mckay crap! Those are her words, not mine. That is pretty sad considering that she doesn't really watch the show regularly like do. She was even able to pick-up who they preferred to showcase!!

The ending sucked also!! Sheppard only had two words! NICE VIEW!! Mckay and Keller had the freaking screen time! Teyla was just standing like a drone! And, honestly, I don't even know if Ronon said anything either!! And, what the hell! Mckay got Keller, Ronon got that kickboxing chick and Sheppard got nothing! They couldn't even have them JT even touching hands! Talk about not giving your lead character no respect at all!

I know I will see the movie if it comes into reality. At this point, I wouldn't be surprised if the movie is never made. And, of course, it will suck, due to the fact the JM and PM will more likely be the ones heading it up! Dear God, if they pen the script, you can bet it make Atlantis suck even more!!
