LOL, yes... that's what I had in mind. Hehe, I know, that would be hilarious.

Right... I do agree with you on that. So far. It annoys me, but I'll wait and see how The Queen and Prodigal turn out.

Heh, well how to do it is easy, just check for spelling errors and such. Yes, that's true. And I appreciate your thought!! *hugs*

        Spoiler:

I was a little underwhelmed by the ep. I came out of it thinking what the point of the ep was apart from to introduce some new recurring characters. I mean, there have been stand alone eps in the past that haven't had much point to them but I've never come out of the ep thinking that before (okay, except for Trio ) I loved Dusty, I hope we get to see more of her, I was expecting her to be one of the red shirts, didn't expect Vega to die at all, but Dusty was the one I really felt like I got to know in this ep and would like to see more off. I thought for certain Vega was the one that would survive! But then we did learn absolutely nothing about her and she barely had any lines, so if we hadn't read so much hype about her she probably would have been the prime candidate to die. I thought Major Teldy was going to die too or at least one other.

I was gobsmacked that Shep didn't know the all female team. Sheppard was definately OOC for me, I even thought that during the ep, which I don't usually do, I usually only notice OOC moments on reflection. And yes, weakest ep of the season so far. But still not bad

Video of the cast talking about the cancellation:
        http://www.spacecast.com/videoplayer_5547.aspx

Some really lovely comments from RL and JF that you may need tissues for And AT is great as well. They really seem to understand the fans unlike a certain other person on there who I still feel like punching every time I see him!

I know i'm late to this converstion lol but i just saw Whispers and for me, it was just an okay episode.

        Spoiler:
Not much interesting as far as plot but the things i did like....John didn't flirt with any of the girls on the team!!! YAY!. These writers have a tendancy to just make John flirt with the first pretty gal that comes out on an episode. So i was very happy that Carson got to do that for a change!. Also, just like everyone else, i liked Dusty too!...she was cool!. At the beginning, yeah, didn't think much of her and didn't care who died since we new one or more of the gals were going to kick the bucket but toward the end i really didn't want her to die. I was actually surprised that they killed off Vega!. She was the only one apart from John and Carson of course that i didn't think they were going to kill off!. They made such a huge deal about how they liked the actress and how they made this character for her that i honestly didn't think they would kill her off. But if you think about it, it brings in that Wow factor that no one is safe and anyone could go i guess.

No Teyla, so that sucks but looking at The Queen, i'm very excited to see it!. It looks like it's going to be a great Teyla episode!!!. Did you guys notice that one of the beginning clips of The Queen shows her in the operation table and she looks at someone on her side very worried?. You can't see who she is looking at but god i hope it's John!.

Thank you Cazz for the link!. It's so heart breaking to hear them and how much they truly love the show and their fans!. Stupid decison to end the show!.

          Great
          Spoiler:
They can't write for the main female that's there so let's add some more to the mix....Very wise decision!

So what was their excuse in S2 and 3......The only reason there's so much

Keller and not enough Teyla is because they're falling over beckwards for her....They love her and yadda yadda yadda....They couldn't care less about Rachel!

          Spoiler:
John/Rodney show which turned into the McKay show which then is turning into the McKay/Keller love fest hour and it'll finish with the McKay/Keller show!

Ok I'm going now before i say something that'll upset someone!
I understand all that you're saying. I can't stand Keller and the fact she was made a regular AND a main character has really bugged me. Even when Beckett was a regular, he wasn't in every single episode. TEYLA comes before her on the credits but doesn't get as much screen time (so far).

As for the others season; in season 1 and season 2 I think Teyla was pretty well represented. In season 3, towards the end, she was as well. I like Teyla but she's not my favourite character so I can't say I missed her HUGELY in S3 but it was in S4 that the difference was noted by me.

Something happened to SGA in season 3; I can't put my finger on it but all the relationships became all confuddled and comfused; tensions mounted between characters for seemingly nothing. I can't explain it but even in Phantoms (a heralded JT ep), I couldn't help but feel the tension (not chesmitry or sexual tension) but TENSION between John and Teyla. He seemed very awkward around her. And Weir and ROdney didn't get on and Rodney and Carson seemed to snipe at each other rather than banter.

I am not a McShep fan and never will be and don't really understand the appeal of John and Rodney.... as friends I find them fairly bearable in small doses... but because they have been the only pairing to get shoved down our throats for nearly 5 years I really have had my fill of them.

I don't find it nearly as natural a friendship as some do... I thought the scene in the Shrine with Rodney banging on Johns door was right out of fanfiction and should have stayed in fanfiction..... the writers are definitly only able to write for McShep and it doesnt seem to matter now what plot or what kind of story we get once we get some McShep bonding or almost hugging.. that's seems to be what a large majority of fans want on this board... anyone who wants more from the show has given up and moved on... I know dozens of fans who used to love the show and don't watch it anymore.... some still converse with me occasionally but most wont watch and are not bothered that the show has been cancelled because of the direction it continues to take.

I love genuine relaxed moments between the team like we got in season 3.. but when have we seen any of them of late.... any bonding scenes are between John and Rodney.... I really thought in Search and Rescue that things were going to change but nope we went right back to the John and Rodney show and the Shrine just proves the obsession the writers have for McKay and the McShep show and now Keller.... but where are Ronon and Teyla... As I said to Linda I didnt miss Teyla in Whispers because I would rather not see her in the ep at all rather than get a few pathetic lines and pretty much see her shoved in the background.... Teyla has lost any personality she had this season... she is safely tucked away now as mommy Teyla and no threat to anyone... they dont allow her to have a personality except being mommy.

I hope Prodical and the Queen give her something decent but already we have the forced little buddy scene with
          Spoiler:
John and Rodney playing with their toy cars... I guess John cant do anything these days without his bestest friend Rodney....

I enjoyed Whispers because it was different and because it was nice to see John without Rodney and without either bonding with him or telling him to fix things... Dusty had a personality and I liked a good old fashioned action ep... I thought I would really miss the rest of the team but I didnt.. because I have had enough of McKay to last a lifetime and I'm fed up seeing Teyla and Ronon just being props.. I'd rather they were not there at all than being used like that..
I like the friendship of McKay and John but I agree; it's hardly natural. They are at opposing ends of the spectrum. I think the screen friendship stemmed from the actors' real life friendship.

What got me about The Shrine
          Spoiler:
was when Rodney ran down the hall screaming for JOhn... hadn't he just told Keller he loved her? You'd think he'd go to her. But I also get it. In the first season, it was John that protected them and him - when ROdney wasn't quite able to protect himself. Maybe he felt safe with him.

The scene on the pier, I thought, was great. But you're right; the getting to the pier scene (of ROdney rushing to John) was very D grade fan fiction. If he'd approached the door hurriedly and banged, NOT calling for him, I'd get it. But it seemed very "fannish" the way it played out.

Maybe Rachel wants to be a more active part in her son's life; you can't fault her for that.

I agree totally. Previously in other seasons even when Teyla only had a few lines, they at least made sense and were important. So far this season, except for S&R, all she is is background material. I can't put my finger on it, but she used to be strong and very focused on what she believed in. Now she seems to be unsure if she should even speak up when John & Rodney are speaking. The writers seem to her being a much meeker person so far this season. We may see this perception change in the Queen and Prodigal. I certainly hope so. I also think that the friendship issue between our 4 is different in S5 and I think a lot of that has to do with the lack of humor that used to so present. I miss that. And I most definately miss the closeness that John & Teyla had. Except for S&R, there is now nothing there at all.

Finally saw Whispers I don't know if you remember that I said that if it was with the team I thought it would probably be my favorite ep. I have to say that even without the team it's my fav ep
                  Spoiler:
yeah I really miss Teyla and I'm disappointed but we had 3 great female characters. I said 3 because personnaly I can't stand Porter too bad she didn't die perhaps it's for this that i so like Dusty she's too fun. I don't understand why they don't bring Teyla and Keller instaed of Sheppard and Carson.
I'm really disappointed too that they killed Vega she was great as for Teldy not a fan but she did her job.
The ep was really great but I'm sure I will do nightmare, yes it's enough for me to traumatize me I really stressed when the thing was after Carson lol besides they were really ugly
My only critic would come from Shep and Carson yeah I know it's Stargate but to be to the point where there is less than half of the cast of Stargate they could have suppress them all. I mean I don't know if it's my feminist side but I thought that Shep take her a little too high (?) I mean he didn't consider them and what was the point to have him sit down when the guy comes and only point his gun ? WTF ? when was the last time that Shep uses only his gun ?
Personnally I would have really love that the girls kick his ass and at the end I would have love a scene with only the girl and not McKay Shep and Carson.
I liked too that the team was separated I'm sure that this isn't really good on security (then why have separated them ?) but really I like it that they were on their own and finally everybody is more than enough able to take care of himself.

Finally they did more in female character, team aspect, action, adventure, character moment and character building in one ep than in a lot of eps

So I really love it and if they had the great idea to make an all female tem or a female lead in SGU I have to say that I would watch it without hesitation

I didnt notice it between JT.. I thought they were more at ease in season 3 than any other season but I did think something happened between Sheppard and Weir.. their vibe totally changed I felt...

I find it very forced at times and in fact think Ronon and Sheppard have a much more natural friendship and I believe that are even closer in real life than DH and JF and to me it comes across.... they have a lot more in common as well as I always feel the tpb go ott to try and convince us that McKay and Sheppard are really very alike but to me they have very little in common..

The pier scene itself was nice but I would have prefered a scene like this in a different ep.. it would have been a lot more natural way of just showing the guys hanging out and a having a genuine friendship moment... but because it followed on from the rediculous running through the corrider scene it lost its appeal for me... and it was pretty much a repeat of TOR with John refusing to say goodbye to Rodney..

                          Spoiler:
was when Rodney ran down the hall screaming for JOhn... hadn't he just told Keller he loved her? You'd think he'd go to her. But I also get it. In the first season, it was John that protected them and him - when ROdney wasn't quite able to protect himself. Maybe he felt safe with him.

The scene on the pier, I thought, was great. But you're right; the getting to the pier scene (of ROdney rushing to John) was very D grade fan fiction. If he'd approached the door hurriedly and banged, NOT calling for him, I'd get it. But it seemed very "fannish" the way it played out.

                          Don't feel stupid.

Re: the beta - I would do it but I'm in themiddle of redecorating my bedroom and then I was planning on writing some. Send it my way, though, and I'll see what I can do later on tonight or tomorrow?

Maybe Rachel wants to be a more active part in her son's life; you can't fault her for that.

I always thought the one doing the head slapping would be Ronon.
Okay I'm a fan of Teyla and personnally even if I understand or see a lot of things you said and all I disagree on some points.
As for Rachel wanting to be a mom it's her right and it's why I'm probably one of the few to like Teyla arc in S4 but honnestly except that Rachel in one interview said that she wanted to take distance I don't believe it one second the authors only do what they always do let Teyla and Ronon in the background and it has nothing to do with Teyla being a mom.

Once again I agree with a lot of things as the friendship that I find really odd and the distance between the character that is linked to the fact that it's less fun but I really miss the JT relationship and it starts to be fat (?) annoying (?) I don't know how to say it but it bothers me. And not only the JT but finally the Ronon Teyla and even the Shep McKay I think the only one today who has a relationship with everybody is Keller.
But I disagree about Teyla I really think that it's the contrary and that Teyla gains in screentime and in quality.
                          Spoiler:
Remember Progeny she was on scren for 2 secnds and she had nothing to say or do on the contrary compare the few times that she was in Midway and what it brings even for S5. Imagine all she did in S&R her computer skills in TDV, her doubt in Broken Ties finally someone is here to make her think and to show us what she thinks (yeah sorry to say this it's Kanaan) while remember Critical Mass she was totally a B plot and she cries alone and the story wasn't so much around her emotions than the loss of Charin and what Carson could do and her people and all but she was all alone and there wasn't continuity on the contrary of Broken Ties.

Didn't you know that in Atlantis the women are only used for damsel in distress material..They're not allowed to save themselves...It's only the men that are allowed to do that!!

Um yeah...So being so pissed off is bringing out my sarcatic side so i'm gonna go for a while in case i say something that might upset someone now!
It's true it's totally a male world I discover that sadly sometimes ago but at lest in Whispers the girls kick some ass.
Don't be afraid I'm upset yet and it has nothing to do with any of you on the contrary I always like exchange ideas and I really see things that are so contrary to mine lol I tend to be opinionated (?) lol

I have one of those in my room since the beds are so high in the dorms. I can't get in without it.
