John Sheppard/Teyla Emmagan Appreciation/Ship/Discussion Thread
Oh um lemme see....Em John and Teyla have a disagreement and get into an argument which prompts Teyla to leave Atlantis...Well something along those lines....Apart form the Teyla leaving Atlantis, the rest of the story is up to the writers so you can go in whatever direction you want to take it after that

I know what I wanted when I was 21, but I don't do that any more.
Well, he doesn't drink that much, but our legal age is 18 anyway! When I was in Boston last year we went to the Samual Adams brewery and had to show ID to be able to sample it. Obviously I would be old enough if I was in the UK but not in the US It was just ironic that out of the three of us (me and my parents) I was the only one with ID but it wouldn't have done me any good anyway, not that I even like lager though luckily they believed that my parents were old enough!

OT
Spoiler:
I use to drink like a fish and beside the point that I don't doit now because of belief, I had to stop because I was getting out of hand. I was a little lush.
Any way. It been always hard for me to get a guy gifts. Even for my hubby. I usualy got him, when we were dating, Cologne(sp), clothes or money. He always loved money.

*giggle* My hubby is easy--video games or movies that we missed in the theatre. LOL, he's the media man.
Humor is the great thing, the saving thing after all. The minute it crops up, all our hardnesses yield, all our irritations, and resentments flit away, and a sunny spirit takes their place. --Mark Twain

Thanks LandJ for the title and Asgard for the cover! And of course, a BIG thanks for those who wrote the story!
AWESOME!
Wow! My title suggestion used! Thanks!
And you used my favourite one too!!! Yay!
SG:
Watched "Tao Of Rodney" on Friday. I didn't enjoy it as much as I thought. Maybe it's because Rodney was too nice to all in it- not his usual annoying self..........or maybe it was the typical way of solving it so they don't have to kill/ascend Rodney......
And MAN! The number of references to previous episodes just shot through this ep.
I counted references to "Return pts 1 &2" [Ancients having the city, & a ref to Rodney being the one who altered the replicated Ancients- which made me think of a new ep in the new season....], "Epiphany" [talking with Liz about his time with the Ancients trying to ascend, his "monster" line in that scene (I'm sure that's a ref to that ep), John helping Rod meditate], "Conversion" [scene straight after intro credits- John mentions "and I only got turned into a bug" ], SG-1's "Prototype" [Liz refers to it when she's talking about their situation].......that's all I remember, but that's 5 episodes with 7 mentions all up (several happened in the same scene- like the "Return" refs & 2 of the "Epiphany" refs).
In Shep's first scene for the ep, I was busy reading the credits rolling on the bottom of the screen, & smiled knowing Lorne would be in the ep (Kavan Smith was top list of guests)- only to realise the 'h' in Smith was placed ever so cleverly in the shot right where Shep's glorious & cute butt was.
So, I found myself smiling lop-sidely at both Lorne being in it & Shep's butt having an outing in the shot. *thunk*
All this talk over Ben Browder & Farscape made me think of a bit in the commentary on AoT.
Over one scene they were saying how well Ben worked with his character- having to try & not be another O'Neill, as well as not slipping back into John from Farscape. They really applauded his effort.
I also watched "McKay & Mrs Miller" on Fri arvo (my brother had realised he had missed seeing it- thank god we'd kept it on the player instead of deleting it). One scene had my stomach churning.
The Scene?
When AU Rodney & Shep were playing golf- my mind immediately went to "Sunday", & hence my stomach churning.
I also noticed in that scene- & PLEASE don't think this is having a go at him- but Shep's hair do isn't balanced right.
His left ear is completely visible, yet his right ear's top bit is hidden under a bit of hair- it's just not even.
Anyway, that's all from me.
Catch ya later- & I hope I don't have 30 odd pages to look through the next time I get on here!
Laura.

Get better soon and get some REST!!
NP LandJrule for the links.
As for ToR. I actually enjoyed it, but that's me.
My favorite scene was when he heals Ronon's scars.
I hope you enjoy the rest of the season and I'm sure you'll be looking forward to The Ark.
