It seems SciFi original movies are getting a bad reputation.I'm so out of all the rest of the scripts now. McKay's going to go looking for a file and never come back now. "Yeah, I thought I saw it in the other room." Cut to Season Eight: "Yeah, he died! That McKay guy ..."

More on David.
I just watched the first 6 episodes of the Canadian series "Traders" on dvd. David plays another quirky genius, Grant Jansky, a derivatives specialist. His speciality is seeing order in chaos. He's also apparently good at designing virtual reality companies.
So far, he seems very child-like and soft spoken, although still a rapid-fire talker. His "office" is the supply closet. And his character has a food issue.
While David is great, the rest of the series is too. I think I would have been watching even if David wasn't on the show.
For Canadians, the W Network has just started airing the series. Check it out here.

Spoiler:
This time I noticed the first hint of McKay, team member. As Weir was staring at the Gate looking like she was trying to will Sheppard and everyone else back, McKay said to her, "For what it's worth, you made the right decision." McKay knew that Sheppard had to attempt a rescue mission. You don't leave anyone behind.

Here in the UK,we finally got this year's Lowdown,on Tuesday last.Repeated again last night.I watched again ,despite taping the Tuesday broadcast....shows my addiction,eh ?
(We got a version of the L/D prog.Apparently some bits were edited out !)
Whatever. Lots of DH goodness.A few reminders of McKay/Sam.
(I kinda wanted the Lemon Chicken scene ,but the "You're such a jerk/Thing about Dumb Blondes" exchange was there.Keeps me happy...)
Loved David's funnies,and the clips.
*Sigh* Still have to wait till the 12th to see "Rising Pt1".I can do this !The place to "Gate" to during Outages for updates and info:

Just finished watching the last 7 episodes of Traders season 1. I'm now going through Grant Jansky withdrawal.
As I've said before, this show has sucked me in. Of course, it does help that Patrick McKenna, who played Jay Felger in SG1, is a main cast member.
They better hurry up with the season 2 dvds!

If Alliance-Atlantis releases this series like other studios do, Season 2 should be out some time in the next few months. Season 1 was released in November of last year, so Season 2 should theoretically be released in November of this year. Theoretically.
Greesha: Watcher652 is probably a better person to give a summary of the show but, until then, maybe this will help: Traders site

The show is about the people employed at Gardner/Ross, a independent Canadian investment firm. While high finance is the backdrop, it's really about the interrelations of the people at the firm and power plays and political manipulation.
As I've said in previous posts, David plays Grant Jansky, a neurotic, self-doubting, disheveled, quirky genius who has problems relating to more than one person at a time and a diet that seems to consists mainly of Hershey chocolate bars and very strong coffee (sound familiar?). He has an uncanny knack for seeing order in the chaos of the market and to be able to exploit that. Grant talks more with the computers in his closet office than to the people around him. He tries to avoid people if at all possible. He has a child-like view of the world, which sometimes enables him to get to the heart of the matter when it seems to elude others.
Grant made millions in the one day he traded in the derivitives market. He promptly retired. He was actually considered to be a myth by some of the employees of Gardner/Ross. He was living in a park (I think) when he was recruited when Gardner/Ross needed to come up with more a million dollars in a day.
This series is definitely a must see in my book. In the things I've seen so far, David is usually plays a very self assured person, whether a good guy or a bad guy.
Grant is nothing like that. There are a lot of scenes where Grant has this lost puppy dog look on his face that is just so cute. And Grant does a lot of smiling, too. Not a McKay smirk, but a genuine, shy smile.
David isn't in the first 2 of the 13 first season episodes, but he's in all the others. In one of the episodes he makes a token appearance at the beginning of the show, but in the others he usually has several scenes.
Oh, and BTW, you can really see that David's eyes are blue.

Here's something else Grant Jansky does that evokes something David has done.
Spoiler:In one episode, we find Grant up a tree!
