Hey all,

How's everyone? Just stopping by on my (public) holiday to say hello.

I'm actually squeeing with delight, waiting for July 14th, as I just read a con report (with JF) with 2 spoilers, one of which involves Rodney!

I like thunking but I stray away from discussions and what-nots because I'm not very good at expressing myself online and tend to get into trouble when I'm trying to be funny.

OK first off I am going to over use the "IMO" because some people seem to confuse an opinion with a fact...

Well I know I say it a lot but I hate "cliques". I don't feel we have that in here, yes older members do tend to quote each other more often but I don't believe it is deliberate.

When it is deliberate and when you go out of your way to ignore the opinion of others just because they say things you don't agree with (not baiting that is a whole other ball game) then IMO that is making a standard for a thread, "either agree with us or leave!" that is what makes me hate the fandom anywhere! The only real exceptions to that are the Clearly marked "Pro" & "Anti" threads and the "Appreciation" threads.

If you feel like you have to agree with someone just because most of the people in a thread feel the same way, or because that user is seemingly popular in the thread; that is not fandom that is a "clique" and that is damaging IMHO.

I could never go into certain threads here because my humble opinion would be jumped on as wrong and spiteful and blah blah fraking blah! Sure I have gone off on some trolls who go out of their way to flame but that is because they never put forward an argument, they just flame!

Also a good way to tell a good thread IMO is to see how they treat the rules system... do they let you get away with murder?

I have been respectful of David IMO in here but then sometimes I am told no that is not something that should be posted in here. That is what makes a good thread (Thunk or otherwise). I left two threads on GW because people ignored the rules and ganged up on others because they didn't want to follow the darn rules... if you don't like the rules leave!

And as someone pointed out to me, just because it is your opinion doesn't make it fact. *yes Shadowmaat* I do listen. And again as a Mod told me recently, some people cannot always express themselves well on line, be tolerant.

But if all else fails there is always the ignore feature!

umm are you reffering to whats going on in the TH/EW thread? Or something totaly unrelated? I did have a lot of stuff to read through since my last visit to this thread and I never go to the TH/EW thread so I feel like I've missed something. Hmm feeling a bit Dim, but any way... oh yeah loved the BTS caps btw, love that sort of stuff, plus wont be getting my DVD's for a while, I'm waiting for the box set like Mx.

Thanks for the reitiration Rose I guess the problem for me is that I very rarely post or read other threads (i've tried but the're hardly ever as interesting or as comprehensive as this one) so I don't see the desitergration of GW as clearly as other people do.
I guess I also get a bit confused when people start talking about LJ's cos I don't really know how to find specific members LJ's without links, also because so many people have different user names which they hardly mention on this thread so I can't even search them... then I get all confused again with the multiple identities and then of course how to read all the different types (formats) of LJ's out there.

I've had a lot of free time today and ended up checking out some of the threads you guys talk about in here, the whumping and slashy ones, and they're just as good, I probably wont post there much though cos I don't really have much to contribute to for those topics but I'll deffinatly start lurking over there a bit more.

LOL. I never made it all the way through kill bill, too violent for me. I just love the expression on his face, i love looking at it when I'm fed up with the world, makes me want to fight back, instead of running away and hiding.
