Yes, I missed that second paragraph. I was trying to post a correction, but the forum was down for me and I couldn't. I wasn't thinking that acting was a craft award.

David was living in Washington State during Atlantis and before that he had just moved to Los Angeles from Toronto. I guess the limitation is to keep out the Canadian actors who move to L.A. or NYC and commute back for work. L.A. and NYC have so many more opportunities, even though the competition is so much greater.

It's a shame scifi shows don't get very much recognition on the Emmys, because I love to see David's name on the list of nominated actors. That would be so cool!!
