That's my opinion of TLG too. Interesting to have BIS as #1 though.

Surprisingly partisan for GW don't shoot me mods, it's just unusual for the opinions of GW to differ from the party line of TPTW

There were actually people complaining about the last Gero interview and how GW interviewer kept mentioning his own opinions and what fans think instead of just asking questions. Haha.

The comments on that article are gone now due to the hilariously inflammatory remarks (they were pretty awful though I agreed with plenty of them) but the interview with Gero is still there. It's mostly in the last few pages because at least half of the interview is about his sex movie.

I avoid slash too, but the chance that sparky and slash are combined in a fic is very small

Thanks for the link! I checked it out and even commented--they wrote up some great stuff for the Elizabeth commentary. I still can't agree that GITM was a 'fitting conclusion' to Elizabeth's character. I will never agree with that!

I'm not talking about McShep here... All sorts of m/m so you could have a hint of Sparky and then there would be Rodney/Kavanaugh (and trust me I know cause I wrote that one for the 2007 edition of Rare_pairings).

And then there's Sparky and Kate/Teyla for example... but that's femslash which is my favorite so that probably doesn't count much.

Just to mention a few of course.

I have to admit, I read hundreds of sparky fics and only came across a handful of combined sparky/slash fics... I remember a fun one with McKay/Carson though but that's not important now and it's been ages since I came across one actually...

Well, well, for what was supposed to be today's 'best-of' list, they sure took their sweet time getting it posted!

I was surprised by that myself, given how GW has tried to downplay Weir/Torri and fans of both character and actress in the past. Well, the attempt to balance things out now, however short-lived it might be, is a nice gesture.

It's a pity TPTW never saw that in her as we did.

Just went and read though it. I must say I'm surprised by it. Maybe its coz the show is coming to an end *shrugs* I remember there was a fuss about it at the time but I never went to investigate.

I wouldn't have said the interviewer was being particularly harsh. It seemed to me that for the most part he was voicing some of the criticisms of GW posters, plus putting in his own 2c afterwards. Although I did laugh when Gero said that the ratings don't drop 50% for Keller, and he repsonded by saying that no, they'd just been falling steadily

Nothing about Sparky, or the disappearance of the other main characters.
