Good morning, Sparkies! Happy Lazy Sunday!
Not so happy for me...here's this week's College Football Roundup! It was a good day for everyone else as USC came from behind only to LOSE in the last minute to Michigan 27-24 , while Rhode Island beat Long Island University 28-21, and in the Atlantis Cup, Air Force took a needed bye week to regroup, while Navy beat Memphis 58-44. On to next week!

Good morning, Sparkies! Happy Canon Monday!
Originally posted by JT-2 View PostSo sorry about the USC loss!! It's so frustrating to lose at the very last minute like that.
Originally posted by JT-2 View PostEagles won, Raiders lost. And the Raiders were playing a really bad team, so their loss of 36-22 was quite painful to experience. Ugly, ugly season so far for me. Raiders and Patriots are both 1-2 overall.(This is legal notice that any attempt to censor or delete, for the purpose of oppressing fair and open discussion, any statement made by me will be considered a violation of my right to free speech as guaranteed by the First Amendment of the United States Constitution, and will be dealt with in accordance with federal law.)

Okay is this site acting weird for anyone else? I have ad-blocker but it's like the site is actively fighting it and inserting weird bits of advertising in strange places.

Last week, umbrellas were not allowed. Today, a message was received that due to the weather conditions small umbrellas are fine.
I don't even know what a small umbrella is supposed to be. Is it like one of those you can fit in a small bag? It probably is and mine is a yellow Singing-in-the-rain-sized umbrella so that'll stay in the car.
Generally not a fan of umbrellas to begin with, at least not when there's a lot of people around using them. I'm a tall person so I generally get poked in the face a lot by other people's umbrellas, or I have to stoop low to fit underneath, or to prevent shorter companions from still getting wet.
Tomorrow, around 5-ish pm we leave for the hotel nearby Ypres. Thursday morning, around 8ish 8:30 perhaps we'll continue on towards Loos-en-Gahelle.Heightmeyer's Lemming -- still the coolest Lemming of the forum

Originally posted by JT-2 View PostI started watching this guy's youtube where he does these funny bits about the teams for the week. The team that beat the Raiders (Carolina Panthers), the guy kept going back to the Panther's player who kept asking himself "wait, we..... win??? By a lot???" That's how much the Raiders were supposed to kick their butts last weekend.

The weather gods smiled kindly upon us today. It stayed dry all the way through the ceremony and the sun even came out a few times. Though as there was no shade, I was glad she came out for a few minutes at the time.
Seeing Her Highness the Princes Royal, from not too far away, was interesting. She read the opening psalm of the funeral. There were Black Watch soldiers, who carried the coffins and played the bagpipe and horn.
And yours truly can definitely prove they were present because after the ceremony I inadvertently stood behind one of the Black Watch soldiers being interviewed and I'm therefore in the shot. I had no idea he was being interviewed otherwise I would have gone round or waited to pass.
Here's a video ... and when you're around the 2:11 mark of it, you see a soldier being interviewed and behind him stands an idiot with glasses... I am that idiot.Heightmeyer's Lemming -- still the coolest Lemming of the forum
