LOL! Yup, to the point where family and friends actually asked us if we were really where we claimed we were.
Cause also, my sister and I take almost exactly the same shots each time.

In the meantime, we made it our habit to at least appear once or twice ourselves. My sister usually uses me as a measuring tool to show how tall or big something is, like the standing stones of Avebury. A colleague of hers mentioned they didn't look that tall, and then she showed the image of me dwarved in front of one and she was like "Oh yeah, now I see."

And you know, occasionally do those touristy poses... although we do try to avoid them as much as possible.

I mean, I did keep myself from doing the infamous Jack and Rose pose on the SS Nomadic's stern (for lack of there being an actual Titanic part), but only because I would have looked very ridiculous as I was missing a Rose.

OTOH, a friend of ours who recently went to Rome shared his pics with us. They were largely selfies: Fred at the Coliseum, Fred at the Vatican, Fred with some statue, etc. When I pointed it out to him he was surprised. I think people these days take so many selfies, it's just become unconscious behavior. LOL
Hah! Very, very rarely do I take selfies; the last time I did was on my last trip to Disneyland before we moved, and they were all of me with the marquees of my favorite attractions. Something to remind me of what I'm looking forward to the next time I go.

LMAO! Still would've been funny, though!

Sparky is on screen. Therefore, it is canon. Elizabeth is still out there. And John WILL bring her home.

Winterfell filming location looks nothing like it does on screen.

        Nice park though, and farm/woodmill.

Well, I was re-watching Sunday, and I ended up writing this.

          The Ocean's Anchor

Contains Sparky angst and Elizabeth/Teyla friendship. Hope you all enjoy.

If anyone's interested SGA Reversebang is signing up artists and authors this month. They lowered their minimum wordcount to 1K words minimum, which is doable, I think... I hope cause I jumped into the deep end and signed up as artist and author.

Heh! Yeah, places used as filming locations rarely look the same as they do on screen. Movie magic!

I admit, I take selfies if there's no one around to take a photo for me (ex. when I visited NYC and didn't trust anyone to take my phone lol). But I don't like "selfies"; I prefer "groupies". And I'm also a little OCD so I prefer someone taking the photo who actually knows what they're doing.

Well, part of Florida is currently under an "Ark Alert" due to the storm system moving through. Gonna stay inside and stay dry and watch old school "Star Trek". Have a good one, everybody!

Thanks. I think my creative muse is back, because I just wrote eleven pages of episode and character notes after watching First Strike through Doppelganger today (I've got that much time on my hands LOL). No promises, but I might be writing more missing scenes / episode tags for Season 4 featuring healthy doses of Sparky angst.

Excellent story. I too am sorry they didn't have more realistic moments like this in the show.

I seem to have fallen head over heels for Madam Secretary. Elizabeth Weir and Elizabeth McCord should meet up. For some odd reason, I want them to go head to head, or conspire diplomatically together. Henry and John can come along for the ride. I'm sure they'll find something to talk about.

Just wondering, were any sigs of this design made for Elizabeth? Since she's back now, I mean.

Hi there! This is my first time posting here (I think), so I'm going to just go ahead and jump in!

I've long been a fan of Sparky (from the moment I saw The Storm/The Eye, the OTP to end all OTPs hooked me). I used to hang around on LiveJournal in the SGA fandom under the name Rushingwind, and I occasionally wrote things, though I regret now that I was too self-conscious to post many of the things I wanted to share. I always lurked more than I talked or posted, and sort of felt like an outsider compared to the Greats of the Sparky fandom... though I realize now that I was just too shy and self-critical, and just didn't have the confidence to interact. Having lurked on this thread for a while, I remember several of you from LiveJournal, and it makes me happy to know that the love for John/Elizabeth is still alive and well! I wish now I hadn't been so shy and that I'd interacted more, or posted more of the fic that I'd written, but, well, it's never too late, is it? So here I am! I've been lurking on this thread long enough, I think!

Just so I don't show up empty-handed, this is a fanart-ish thing I made a while ago. Maybe some of you have seen it before (or maybe not), but it was one of my recent-ish tributes to Sparky. I hope it brings a smile to someone's face.

So hello! *waves at everyone* I hope you are all having a wonderful day when you read this! I look forward to hanging out and chatting with other Sparky fans again.

(By the way, thanks to those who posted about Torri's recent acting roles! I haven't seen This Life or Inhuman Condition, but I know what I'll be watching next when I have time!)
