I can't help but wonder why TPTB chose to end Weir's relationship with Simon, as far as I remember they didn't use her new status as single at all.

Yes, in a way I'd rather forget. She had a date with by the man I affectionately refer to as Bearded Mike in Sunday.

I think the gist of the awkwardness was that Elizabeth was supposed to be 'flattered' that someone was coming on to her, and that she did like him (which is why she got all embarrassed when Teyla and Carson were trying to figure out what she was up to), but that she realized that she couldn't do her job and date someone at the same time.

Of course, I still find it funny that they didn't even try to confront of the 1000 pound gorilla of 'what would John say,' but that's just me.

I like most of these, except Simon, and I suspect it's got a lot to do with that awful hairdo he sported on The Intruder, it made him look sleazy, bleurgh.

And I loved Janeway/Chakotay. Oh, and Roslin/Adama on BSG. I sense a pattern...........

Of course Sparky also falls into the diplomat/space cowboy style of Hans/Leia.
