    Nope, no distractions
Granted, I never made it past season 1, but this is relatable.

I've seen it and it's hilarious Online friends who've already seen BSG have warned me to stay away from it because "it'll ruin my life", as they put it

Just how bad were the ship wars and when did they happen?

It's been so long since the last time I marathoned a tv show. Mostly because now it's so easy to have access to new episodes right after they've aired, so I haven't had the need. And I also haven't found a show that hooked me like that. I miss that, I miss having must watch tv.

I just dropped almost all the shows I was watching (with one exception) because I realised I just didn't care. I need a new sci-fi show, I haven't gotten really hooked on a show since SGA and BSG, it's been too long.

I'm with you on this one - I don't follow any shows on tv at the moment. I was watching Bones, but lost interest due to what happened in the beginning of the 7th season.

I've stopped watching Bones as well. I still do reruns though.

We can't really get into that because we would get modded. It was mostly in S2-3, and most of the really bad posts and threads were removed. I will say that 99% of it was hatred directed towards Elizabeth.

I'm just the opposite. There are so many good shows right now. I have a new favorite every season. My very favorites are Justified, Hell on Wheels ( which has had a number of former SGA actors), Breaking Bad, Downton Abbey, Castle, Grimm and tons of others.

For the first part of the reply, Luz has clued me in via PM. Who are the former SGA actors in Hell on Wheels?

A good number of them, yes. I've been making a list of what songs are compatible with my various ships, and many HH songs have appeared on it.

Speaking of which, I've gotten one vote for each song. But since I've been listening to Carrie Underwood on repeat for the past three days, that's probably gonna be the first one.

I second this. Like Toby Keith said, "I wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then."

This applies to so many fandoms.

I've seen some episodes from Downton Abbey, they've been very good and my Stargate friend continues to tell me that we should watch them all from the beginning. I don't think any of the other shows are on tv here, but I'm not sure.

Colm Meaney, Chris Heyerdahl and Ryan Robbins. Colm is a main character of sorts, Chris plays a recurring role and is beyond wonderful and Ryan has a small part in one season. This show should interest you for its historical theme also. And the fact that Mr. Bohannan is hotter than Texas doesn't hurt either.

Not exactly what I meant. BSG is a fantastic show, but if you start watching with the understanding that it's not always a happy ending, you'll be fine.

Anyhow. I'll be out all day. Funny how I don't actually have free time now, in spite of being off work.

It's okay, I know what you meant I do know that it doesn't have a happy ending, but I'm probably not prepared for how miserable the not-so-happy ending is going to make me feel
