Hello everyone!

Today i have some ideas to share with you talented writers, since i don't write, but i have some ideas, i decided to share them with you and if you will want to use the ideas to write something, feel free to do so. I think you call them plot bunnies, right? Anyway:

Well in my head today i was picturing John and Elizabeth somewhere in Atlantis, and i was seeing John asking / telling Elizabeth how he now was her boss / superior, kind of like what he was always saying / doing in the "Intruder" episode that he is/was always mentioning to her the burden of command after his promotion to Lt. Colonel, something like that, oh and this is supposed to happen after her return to Atlantis but Mr Woolsey would still be the leader of Atlantis, Elizabeth now was doing some kind of work related with the diplomatic department of Atlantis or something like that, but for some reason Mr. Woolsey would have to be away from Atlantis for a few days, maybe a week, and then Elizabeth was chosen to be his replacement while he was away, so she would return to her old habit of working working working and forgetting to eat, meanwhile John, was offworld on this particular day, so when the time for a break comes and Elizabeth doesn't go to eat, we would see Chuck approaching her with some kind of orders from John to make her go eat and with the reminder of how he (John) was the boss now and he was ordering her to go eat, oh well, in my head this sounded much better, now i can't seem to be able to finish the idea. But i am sure you talented writers would be able to find something good to end this idea, right? That is if you will want to use this idea of mine.

I have to say that I do agree a lot with what Joe said about how the thing leading up to it is a lot more fun to watch then the actual union between two characters; it’s that case with many character pairings on different shows.

That might be interesting, (well it is very, very interesting!) but i believe that if the stories would be well written, watching the actual union between two characters would be equally as interesting. IMO, I believe that would be the case of John and Elizabeth, I mean i always imagine them being more or less like they were in public but then we would see them a little bit different in private, and i think that would be something different and interesting to see, for us to maybe see how different their personalities would be in private, and how they would surprise each other with their behaviour in private, i would love to have seen something like that! But of course it would have to be something well written and maybe subtle, not too much, something that in a way would fit canon.

I actually really appreciated how no one called or referred to Elizabeth as "Liz." To me, it doesn't sound like a very professional name, especially for a woman in her position. Even though "Elizabeth" is a long name, it is also a strong one, and the fact that people addressed her by her complete name was a sign of respect.

Hmmm, I agree. It would be more interesting to see John's reaction when someone tells him that Elizabeth is alive rather than to see his reaction upon finding Elizabeth himself. Not to mention, it would be very emotional to see Elizabeth's initial confusion and nervousness as she waited for John and the rest of the team to see her, and also Lorne grimly reporting back to John about how Elizabeth looks very anxious... Basically, lots of angst (even though I'm not a huge fan of it, especially if there isn't a happy ending ).

Yeah, i also would love to see John's reaction if he would be the one to find her, but i think i would prefer him to know, that she was alive and that she had been found, from someone else, i don't know, i think i can already see his anxiety, his nervousness happening in my head. Oh, yes, Elizabeth would also be a nervous wreck before that emotional encounter!! Yes, not to mention her confusion, you are right! I am guessing she would think that she was dreaming, that nothing of what was happening would be real until she would actually see him!!!! I don't mind a little bit of angst, in some ways it makes the stories more interesting and somehow a little bit more real. But i have to say that before watching SGA, i used to love stories with lots of angst, to me they were the kind of stories that i liked, i didn't believe in happy endings all the time, but now, after SGA, i totally regret thinking the way i did before!!!

Pearl, as good of a writer as I am as much as I love writing fic, I can't do it on the scale of what the SGA-R writers have produced thus far. I truly appreciate the sentiment, but I'm perfectly content to enjoy the Virtual Season Six that they've produced. I know it is in good hands with them. *hugs SR, SK, Erin, FH, gateraid, and the rest of the staff*

Well said. We fans occasionally call her Lizzeh as a sign of affection and awe at her awesomeness (the infamous Zero Point Snark is the first place I saw it used) but Elizabeth is absolutely appropriate for a professional setting. Plus there's something about it that just sounds badass.

I have a RL friend named Elizabeth. She went by Liz in college but then in her professional world as a lawyer goes by Elizabeth. It's a good, strong name.

And of course don't forget about how John sometimes calls her "Lizbeth" or even "Lizabeth." We like to think that's out of affection and comfort being casual with her, but of course in reality he's just probably in a hurry. Or it's just a Joeism.

Rodney does it sometimes too, but it's much sweeter when John does it.

I did some research of my own and found this news on the game. He talked at a con about getting all wired up and doing the action parts of the game. There was also an old one that he did called Surgical Strike. The adorableness of him in those clips is almost too much. I usually prefer older Joe, but...guh.

How does he just keep getting better and better looking with age? /grumbles about the unfairness of it all

My dad and sister are huge HALO fans as well. I never know what's going on. I'm all "wait, look out, shoot him!" and they're all "that's our guy!" then I'm like "look, there's a Spartan over there!" and my sister's like "I know. So?!" and I'm all "so get in it!!" and she's all "what?!?!" and I'm all "the Spartan! The car! The vehicle! Get in the Spartan!" and my dad's all ::facepalm::
