Elizabeth Weir/John Sheppard Appreciation/Ship/Discussion Thread

was watching NCIS Season 5 and i noticed some similarities between John and Elizabeth and Gibbs and Shepard. they almost have the same rapport that john and elizabeth had.

Just had our grocery delivered (yeah I'm one of those lazy people who pays someone to shop for her). I've been having it delivered for a few months now and never had problems. This time they missed 11 out of 31 items. WTF?!?! A second delivery will come tomorrow.

Nothing Thalen or Phoebus (Phebus?) said can be believed with any certainty. What is definitely canon is that John agreed to host an alien consciousness that he believed to be the husband of the one inhabiting Elizabeth. John thought it was going to be a romantic reunion.

Cue lots of John lip-licking as he anticipates getting to kiss Lizzie.

I don't like that ep all that much (it's vanilla to me - neither love or hate it) as 'our' characters aren't in it very much, but it's hard to escape the fact that he agreed to be the meat suit for Thalen when it made no logical sense for him to be compromised in that way.

yeah it would've been nice to find out what she was dying (if i was guess probably some sort of terminal cancer).

john also had problems with being in charge of Atlantis when elizabeth was injured, Gibbs had the same problem with being acting NCIS director (i forget which episode Gibbs had command.)

Then when in S4, they sort of had a plan until RL's pregnancy blew that out of the water and it was back to throwing anything against the wall in hopes that some of it would stick. Unfortunately for them, not much of it did and the show got canceled. But we did end up with the best ending we could have hoped for.

I didn't realise they were that disorganised. That explains why s2 and 5 were virtually all standalone eps
