Its strange now when I think back to just before Atlantis first aired. I was miffed that Stargate SG1 had come to an end and wasn't looking forward to Atlantis with the new cast and all. I missed the cast from Stargate and only really watched it because my son wanted to. However it took only five minutes into Rising and I was hooked. I loved the city and from the start felt something could develop between John and Elizabeth. Even the writers found it hard to write an antagonistic relationship between them. Originally John and Elizabeth were supposed to go back and forth with each other like Jack and Daniel. But tptb even admitted that they couldn't get it to work right that way. They ended up having a very comfortable friendly working relationship and there could've been something romantic there.
Sorry for the ramble, I'm not sure it made any sense, I'm not sure I actually know what I'm talking about anymore. lol I havent gone to sleep yet and its 7:30am. I guess I'm not going to sleep lol. I've had really bad sleep issues lately. lol Oh well.
It wasn't until Elizabeth was injured in the attack on the city then left behind on Asuras that I started reading fics and for the first time found out about ships - other than the ones that float - It was through this that I came across sparky and found a release from the feeling of mourning that I'd surcumbed to with the lose of Elizabeth. I have never in all the years of watching TV felt so strongly about two ficticious characters as I did and still do with John and Elizabeth. I guess I'm addicted and obsessed but what the heck, life needs it and at least there are like wise minded people.Comment

Just watched "Back to the future" (the first one). I forgot how create this movie is. I love Michael J Fox. An dnow the link with this thread. We all know "Back to the future" is the favorite trilogy of John. I started to imagine a fic where Johna and Elizabeth are looking those movies together.sigpic
