Your translation seems right on. Songs are rarely things that make 'sense' in terms of proper grammar. Like poetry, they're very often worded in ways that are slightly difficult to understand right off. You have to listen and think about it.

That's why I love them.

This song is lovely. It's the inspiration for a script I'm writing, so I wanted to make sure I understood the general idea.

I just watched New Order to see "early" Elizabeth Weir in SG-1 Season 8.
A little too stiff, definitely too much make-up (that horrible lipstick!), but her leading strength is there and I kinda liked the way she tricked the Goa'uld
I'm glad that Sheppard turned her into a more "human" leader, without making her lose her strength. I like pairings when man and woman are equal and learn from each other. That's the reason why they're so good together.
