Ugh, sounds like me with packing. It gets VERY monotonous.

Oh, hi. I check in occasionally but don't have much to say. Let's see, what's up this week?

Well, our main water line sprung a leak and we had to have it replaced which meant digging up the yard. On the upside they dug out an overgrown azalea that Mr. SR had been wanting to get rid of.

Today we are having our hardwood floor in the downstairs hall refinished. I am going shoe shopping as soon as I get dressed, hoping they will be finished when i get back and also hoping it doesn't take an overly long time before we can walk on it again.

So, just SOS at SR manor.

Oh, they did. Big strong burly young (ahem) men with a backhoe can get a lot done in a few minutes. Plus they reseeded the lawn where they dug it up. Mr. SR has to rebuild a flower bed that fell victim but he was planning to do that anyway. The windchill here today is -5F, so that will have to wait a while.

Meanwhile the floor guys have put up plastic sheets sealing off the other rooms to the point that it looks like one of those shows where they are getting ready to dismember a body. I hear sanding noises coming from inside the plastic, so it should be all good. Hmmm? I haven't seen Mr. SR lately. Gotta go.

Luckily, he seems to have survived. I think today was my lucky day. The floor guys left just as I was getting home from shopping. They did a great job. Oh, and I bought 4 pairs of shoes. *grin*

Yep, but I have never been the superstitious sort. There's another Friday the 13th in March. We'll have to test my theory again on that day.

It's kind of hard for me to be superstitious about 13 or Friday the 13th when 13 is my dad's favorite number and he seemed to pick it for his preferred apartment number at least once.

It's a hot topic, shoes I mean.

I have exactly 4 pairs - 2 pairs of sneakers (beige & purple), walking boots & flip flops. And I rarely if ever wear anything else but the walking boots, except when I have stuff to do like job interviews, then the sneakers get to come out and play.
