IIRC, Elizabeth didn't have anything written in stone about what to do if a situation like this arose. However, John adamantly protested their idea to reactivate the nanites, and I'm inclined to believe that John and Elizabeth had already discussed this.

Good question. I think Carson would have let her die, as he was there when she went through the whole deal with the nanites in The Real World.

Of course, that outcome wouldn't have made me happy either. So basically.......... SCREW TPTW!!@!

That's a great question. I agree with JT, and it would have also removed any Sparky vibes because the scene with John talking about how well he knew Elizabeth and insisting on what she wanted would not have happened. However, I think the scene with Keller telling John about her condition would have worked as written with Carson and been even more sad.

I'm inclined to agree with you JT. I think Carson would have let her die. He would have been nearly as torn up over letting her go as John, but he would have done it. Especially if he felt that was what was best for his patient.

Challenge #28

This challenge is going to be all about Easter! And don't worry if you don't celebrate it, we are staying far away from any religious connections so as not to offend anyone. We will focus on the fun and silly parts of it.

So this challenge is to make art [or fan fic] that includes the cute side of Easter in it. You can make up to 6 pieces of art, or fan fic, but you must make at least 2. Each piece of art can only include one of the symbols of Easter. So you could do one with bunnies, and maybe another with flowers. Your choice.

Here is a list of ideas: (feel free to add your own)

- Easter bunny [or just a rabbit]
- baby chicks
- flowers [easter lilies, daffodils, tulips]
- chocolate or candy [like Peeps]
- easter basket with the colored fake grass
- easter hats and/or dresses
- hot cross buns

Now, to make it even more fun.....if you choose to go with the most symbolic icon of all, the easter egg.....you have to hide it in your art so everyone can look for it!

So the challenge is: minimum of 2 pieces of art, each one can only include one symbol of easter in it. But if you choose easter eggs, you have to hide it!

Some symbols will by nature have to be mixed. It's hard to have bunnies without flowers, or a basket without chocolate. Just pick one symbol per piece of art to focus on.

You can also make non-easter art to hide eggs in. You may also hide easter eggs in any piece of art with any easter symbol. Just let me know which pieces of art have hidden easter eggs in it when you PM them to me.

I also agree with this. Carson was there for The Real World, he's known Elizabeth for much longer than Keller had, and I think has a better sense of her mind. It would've hurt to let her go, but sometimes letting someone go is better for them.

^This. One could argue that Carson saw what extremes that John was willing to go to in order to save Elizabeth's life during TRW, but on the other hand, Carson also knew just how dangerous the nanites were and would've understood John's decision not to reactivate them. Instead, you have a new CMO come in who, I'm guessing, was not on Atlantis during TRW, and probably didn't fully comprehend the whole Replicator situation. (Which, IMHO, makes it so ironic that "Keller" was the de facto leader of the group in TMC. ) And then she disobeys John's order, who most likely was the next of kin for Elizabeth, given their working relationship.

I'm not hating on Keller by any means, but in a RL situation, if a doctor had ignored the last wishes of a patient to do what he thought was medically right, especially if it conflicted with the patient's will, then I would imagine a lawsuit would be in order. But seeing as it's sci-fi, we just got a plot twist that left Elizabeth "alive" and us with broken hearts.
