Elizabeth Weir/John Sheppard Appreciation/Ship/Discussion Thread
The plumber came, installed new pipes behind the washer where it drains out of the house and also under the sink, and it is still backing up into the sink when the washer drains. So we've been there for almost two weeks and unable to do any laundry. Not really wanting to truck everything to a laundromat.
The freezer was fine, as it turns out. Or so the applianceman says.
You have no idea. To make matters worse I'm sure she'll be walking on her own by the end of next month. No telling what she'll get into then.
Spoiler:
Sounds like the house needs the plumbing version of a root canal.
I tell you Teal'c, hockey is the coolest game on Earth!

Or maybe ShipperWriter's landlord is the one who needs the root canal. Sorry you've got to deal with that garbage. *hugs*

Sparky is on screen. Therefore, it is canon.Elizabeth is still out there. And John WILL bring her home.
It's been a while sine I've been around - RL meant I had to take a bit of a hiatus from forum land, but whilst I am still busy now, I hope to be able to stick my head in every now and again. How is everyone, it's good to see the same names around. Sorry to hear about your house problems Shipperwriter. Hopefully they will be sorted out soon.

Funny you'd say that. The plumber came this morning, snaked our drain, and found a blockage down the line leading to the sewer. It's clear now, which means the massive mountain of laundry can finally start getting smaller. And I think our landlord realized he didn't handle himself that well. He's being much nicer now.

Hey! Good to see you! I think RL has forced us all to take a break at one point or another. Glad to know you're okay.

Hi, Annelantis.
Glad to hear RL is slowing down enough to let you sneak in here again.

Lets hope that was all it needed. *Crosses fingers*

Tomorrow bright and early (actually, no, that'll be dark and early. Darn Daylight Savings. ) I'll be going in for surgery on my left foot. Almost there!

Good to see you! Yeah, RL does have to take priority, but I'm glad things are settling down.

Oops! Posting on my tablet and posted in the wrong thread! Should have been in the Start a Word With the Last Two Letters game thread

There's at least one Sparky artwork in the SGAreversebang edition of 2014, so there might be a new story up in a couple of weeks from now. Thought I'd give a head's up.
Edit: not written by me. I'm an artist, not a writer. I have writing duties for the rarewomen ficathon, and there will be no Sparky there.
