I thought you all knew about Shex. It's a slasher group for John and Ronon. Very active.

Okay, I suppose I assumed they existed (you know, there's Shweir, McShep, McWeir and so on) but to hear it is a bit weird. There's just never been anything in the show that made me think that. i was like everyone else, just thought Dave didn't quite believe that Ronon was Air Force.

This is quite a good episode in the first fifteen minutes or so when we are learning about John. But I felt when the whole Replicator-on-the-loose thing took over I found it pretty dull. I also wondered, though, how different the episode would have been with Elizabeth there. Oh, well.

I like how John goes to see Dave at the end, I thought it was pretty important for him. But I didn't notice that Ava was wearing red and grey. Interesting.

This keeps popping every time I'm watching an episode without her. How much different (and better) everything would have been had Elizabeth been there. I must stop myself from going there because that yearning ruins everything.

From my understanding it was because they barely saw each other so they later divorced.

We were never told who was the older brother. So I guess it's entirely up to the viewer. Dave does look a bit younger than John so it's possible that Sheppard is the older of the two.

Agreed. Season four actually isn't too bad and if we had never known Elizabeth I might even have considered it good. But it is the lack of her presence that makes things seem off-kilter.

I felt from their conversations that they were both busy in their jobs and also John was very secretive and never told Nancy anything. Given what John is like in the show I also kind of surmised myself that he wasn't the most giving in terms of his emotions.

The episode doesn't make it clear and, given the fact that Dave took on the responsibility of running the family business and seemed more sensible than John, I kind of guessed he was older. Then I looked up IMDB and checked their birthdates (sad I know, but it was research for Life As A Shadow - that's my excuse anyway) and I found that JF is two years older than Dylan Neal. So, i watched the episode again and thought that John probably looked older too and have made my decision that John is the elder brother.

Hope that all seemed logical and not crazy.
