Elizabeth Weir/John Sheppard Appreciation/Ship/Discussion Thread
Don't tell anybody that I had to buy more candy today. Mr. SR does like his Three Musketeers. Yeah, that's it.
Plus everybody in the greater Metro area was at Safeway buying milk, bread and TP because Sandy maybe kinda might sideswipe us. Sheesh. Everybody pray that she heads further east please.
Stay safe, SR!!
Hopefully Sandy heads further up the coast or just barely makes land fall. The weather people here in Ohio are freaking out a bit about this one too. They're all saying if the remnants of it make it to us with the current cold front in the area, things may not be all that pretty here. *Regrets not finishing ice skating lessons as a kid*
I tell you Teal'c, hockey is the coolest game on Earth!
It’s the episode ‘doppelganger’ from season 4 that we mean and it’s one that other than the scene where John fights against himself isn’t really worth watching because it’s just filled with stupid and pointless things that leave you plain angry afterwards.
What she said. Like Rodney, after having a pet whale in Echoes, suddenly being afraid of them.

Sparky is on screen. Therefore, it is canon.Elizabeth is still out there. And John WILL bring her home.

apparently southwestern PA is primed to get a "perfect storm" thanks to Sandy from the south and some winter storm from the west. they're calling for crazy amounts of rain(possible snow BOO!) and wind on Monday. I also saw how all the pretty trees will become killer trees as the leaves get stuck in storm drains, causing flooding or becoming too heavy and causing power outages.
yay i love living in Pittsburgh in October/November

Yes I KNOW this. It wants to make landfall right at my house. *sigh* Maybe the one good thing about this is all of the stoopid leaves in my yard will blow away.

be safe!!!! i actually didn't know about any of this until they gave us info to give to the parents at work today about how we're all prepared for any kind of weather emergency at the center...fun stuff *prays she doesn't get stuck at work with a roomful of one year olds*

i was out your way last weekend...
I saw you were in Reading. I almost said something to you, but I was still recovering from a virus.
We heard about all this yuck last night. Of course it has to hit right at Halloween. Our director sent out reminders of our weather policy and closing info. We are more worried about not having electric. At least then we would have to be closed.

i thought of you as i drove past signs for York. unfortunately, thanks to my sister's poor planning (what a shocker! ) it was a bit of a whirlwind trip...
a friend of mine who used to live here but lives in Myrtle Beach now posted some stuff on facebook but i ignored it. i know it's messed up but i'm kinda hoping for a power outage (just a little one) so that i get a couple days off work...i could use a mini vacation right about now! the center is on a hill though, so it's unlikely they'll close for any reasons other than no power.
