Elizabeth Weir/John Sheppard Appreciation/Ship/Discussion Thread
And anyone heard from ShipperWriter by any chance?
Huh, come to think of it, not in a while. I know she has a wedding coming up and lots of stuff to deal with in RL. We just can't get away from that can we?
We've got one hour until the postathon. I think it's going to be a small group.

Ah right, yeah forgot about that particular detail.
That's easy enough. Just Google "Indian mounds." They are everywhere. Their history is fascinating and very varied, from the Eastern tribes to the Western tribes and up into Alaska. The Cherokee alone would keep you fascinated for a long time.
And if you look up the Great Serpent Mound, it looks a bit like a Goa'uld from the air.
I tell you Teal'c, hockey is the coolest game on Earth!
If no one knows why they were build, then they are as much a mystery as the standing stones in Carnac (France) or Stonehenge in the UK.
I think so. Pretty much every mound I know about is now a National Historic Site. I have read and heard speculation about them being everything from religious sites to defensive fortifications. However, the mound builds only left them, no writen language or even pictographs that I know of around them so anything and everything is pure speculation. Heck on the History Channel show called Ancient Aliens a guy was talking like they were landing markers for alien spaceships.
