Yeah. What y'all said. It's 12:30pm, and it's too early for me to reply.

Have to go house hunting with mom this afternoon. Think we've found a couple of places in our price range. Close to work and shops. Maybe a change of scenery will inspire my muses to get off their lazy, cotton tail butts and actually do something!

Added: Even if they didn’t want to give her a gun then maybe they could have had her take some self-defense lessons from Teyla and you would have had two great things in one, Elizabeth learning some self-defense if she ever needed it and we could have gotten some Elizabeth and Teyla bonding scenes which there was a severe lack of.

*nods* I think we've always said that those scenes should have been filmed. It always seems like their friendship developed offscreen, because in FS, Teyla is the one that Elizabeth is confiding in about possibly having to resign. Where the heck did that closeness come from???

There is also the end scene with John and Elizabeth that takes place after Ford leaves that Joe and Torri created and I don’t know how much was in that scene for the beginning but I like what they did with it, it was like two people united.

Elizabeth was just confiding in Teyla cause she'd seen her hand out with Kate one too many times, once in a very intimate position, and thus could bribe the Athosian into keeping those thoughts quiet from the rest of the city.

Oh, and I won't be able to join the post-a-thon tomorrow... I forgot my DVD box in my flat. I had a headache friday and just wanted to go home as fast as I could muster without keeling over from the nausea.

Well, I think Mom and I have found our new place to move into. Now we just gotta finish applying, get approved (which they should approve us, no problem, cause we have awesome backgrounds) and then move in sometime in June.

I'm not going to be here for the post-a-thon either. Some friends of mine are moving away and we're having a going away party for them tomorrow at 4. If it was just me, I could do the post-a-thon then show up fashionably late, but my mom is riding with me, so can't do.

Not feeling good tonight. Gonna take a nap and come back later, see if I feel better.

Greetings from our backyard.... I'm sleeping outside in my tent tonight. My parents and my sister think I'll be back inside by the time the clock strikes 3. I shall proof them wrong.

I dressed warm, but I fear I'm overdressed cause I'm too hot right now...

But squee I like my mini-tent - length-wise it's a tight fit but I love it nonetheless.

It's like I'm on an offworld mission - let's just hope there are no wraith in our yard.

Ooh, sounds like fun. I used to do that when I was a kid. I had a 4ftx6ft tent I would put up in my bedroom, and I would pretend I was sleeping outside. Especially fun when the cat decided to jump on the tent in the middle of the night. LOL

gateraid, I'm just... damn, I'm in AWE. You nailed every point that could be made on the ineffective writing and how that influenced (or failed to) certain storylines. And the b*t*h of it is, it would have been so easy to do it better. Fanfic writers have been proving that since Season 1. Gah.

The hug took us all by surprise. You may not remember, but it was spoiled in the SciFi Friday special that focused on SG-1, SGA, and BSG. Our heads had exploded long before it aired. And considering the emphasis they place on it in the promo, I'm thinking they considered it a pivotal moment. "They" of course, being the SciFi channel, as it was known at the time. That whole incident is like having a restaurant that sells pies. Let's say you have a very good chocolate pie and a very good peanut butter pie, but one day you decide to make a chocolate/peanut butter pie. You advertise the new product and feature it on your menu for one day. The customers go wild and are lined up at the door waiting to try it. The pie sells out in the first hour. But the next day you take it off the menu and post a sign that says "Sometimes a pie is just a pie", leaving all the customers hungry for more. Tortured analogy, but you know it's true.
