Ah, that's even more interesting - I have an Android Samsung which recently returned from the factory (which lost me angry birds) due to a battery fault. Must keep this in mind.

Personally, I'd say dog (since, you know, he has to love Sedge ). But I also think he'd like both.

And yeah, you don't have to be on FB to play Words With Friends. You can also look up people by their email address. Truth be told, though, I'm getting a little worn out. I only check it once every few days now.

I think both dogs and cats have their own good and bad points. Right now, having just a cat is a great thing as he doesn't need much care generally speaking. I don't have to walk him, etc. That said, dogs are much more sympathetic when you're feeling down. A cat (at least my cats) don't care too much.

*headdesk* I completely forgot to reply about the pets!

It's funny, I used to have a Maine coon tabby that would curl up on my stomach and sleep with me. He would always jump up in bed with me when I was sick. But the cat my family has now? You could be bleeding out and he'd meow because he's irritated he can see the bottom of his food bowl. He's such a drama queen; he can't be bothered to reach up the spout with his paw and pour more food out -- even though I've demonstrated this. With his own paw. *shakes head*

Sometimes, I think pets get gender stereotyped. Men have to have a dog. Says who? *raises eyebrows* Although Jack did tell Cassie that it was an Earth rule that every child must have a dog. My family, growing up, has had cats and dogs. Basset hounds, dalmatian, a few mutts we dog sat for a friend ... I dunno. If it was a dog that isn't always barking at everything that moves and is docile and gentle, I'd love to have a dog. But I'd hate for him to be inside all the time.

And back on topic. I'd imagine that growing up, John's family probably had a variety of pets. I mean, they're rich! For a few years, you cater to the kids about what pet they want, right? But IMO, as John got older and joined the Air Force and was moving around all the time, having a pet would've been ridiculous. Maybe when he and Nancy were married, they had a pet, but I bet she would've gotten it in the divorce.

I dunno. For some reason, I don't really see John as a pet person. His hair is more than enough to take care of, anyway.

I have another story I need to work on before I go to sleep, so excuse me as I run to Wikipedia and do some pregnancy research. No, not Sparky. Jack/Sam. The anonymous reviewers are demanding the next chapter, and I've fallen behind.

So I leave y'all with one final Screw the Angst moment. I was driving home tonight and heard this song, "Last Time," by Secondhand Serenade, on my iPod, and remembered I first heard it while watching a heartwrenching Sparky video.
