Elizabeth Weir/John Sheppard Appreciation/Ship/Discussion Thread
Oh I intend to, who knows, I may even contribute once I have something worth saying
You can start by sending in your Favorite Angsty Moments of Stargate Atlantis - top 5 -> must at least have 2 non-Sparky moments cause I'm doing the polls... ...just...no reason... Deadline friday evening/saturday morning.
It really is cause I'm the one doing the polling, you know. Just don't tell the others.

Thank you ladygris for my lovely sig and avi
One of my angsty moments could be Kate feeling threatened by Michael in her office. That's minor angst, I know, but nonetheless angsty.
Big Kate angst -> Dream!Kate terrified on the railing calling out to Teyla to help her.
Sparky angst could be -> Kolya holding Elizabeth hostage at the gate and Sheppard aiming his gun.
Something like that... I hope that helps.
Ahh got it.... let me sleep on it and I'll get back to you (and I might try for a sparky pic like my Dan/Jan one if I can find some piccies and time!! )

mandogator - a funny priest? How come I've never had one of those??
He's the first one I've ever been around too. Apparently they are only stationed at Duquene University and of Irish descent.
Glad to heare everybody on the East Coast wasn't shaken too much!
Almost forgot. I got to go watch Conan tonight and I liked it. To me it wasn't that bloody. I think there was more blood flying in Arnold's two Conan movies than this one.
I tell you Teal'c, hockey is the coolest game on Earth!
I only started watching Farscape cause I'd be meeting Gigi Edgley at a Firefly convention. And we were also curious about Ben Browder and Claudia Black so that's why... I was hooked pretty much from the start. The only thing that made me cringe every single time until the very end of the show, was the intro theme.

And next we chose the Most Angsty Moments of Stargate Atlantis. Same rules apply - 5 picks of which 2 have to be non-Sparky. Deadline same time next week saturday.
I thought I was the only one bothered by the theme song! LOL The first time I heard it I thought there was something wrong with the dvd!
Lots of good dramatic moments. I didn't think of Sumner's death, but on top of being dramatic it would also have been very shocking if you didn't know he was only in those first 2 episodes.
Well, I'd be willing to do a side by side comparison. Heh. Bite your tongue, girl. Joe is still #1 in my heart. I don't care how skinny he is.
Warning about Conan. If you are bothered by extreme violence, blood and gore by the bucketful and bad guys with really bad teeth, it's not for you. But like I said, Jason stays shirtless throughout. Lots of his expressions also reminded me of early Ronon. He's turned into a pretty good face actor himself. Maybe Joe gave him lessons.
Has anyone seen Jason in Game of Thrones? From everything I've read, fans and critics like his performance.
We've been rocking and rolling here, but everyone is okay. Mr. SR is stuck in DC and waiting it out in a frozen yogurt store. The bars are all packed.
Now that I know what a real earthquake feels like I must admit, I'm not a fan.
Glad you and everyone else is okay! I'm not a fan either. We had one a few years ago early in the morning and it literally shook me awake. Quite confusing. LOL
You felt the quake too? I felt it on my room I was screaming at my dog to stop scratching herself cause I thought she was shaking the bed then the door started quivering and I am like EARTHQUAKE!
Glad you are okay!
Glad you are too. It was quite intense here. Stuff fell over and upstairs some small objects fell off shelves and the door in one cabinet came open. Of course, DC was total chaos. They evacuated all the buildings and sent everybody home early. It took Mr. SR 4 hours to get home. But thank God everybody is safe.

Visit us at SGA Rising for our version of season six.
Oh yeah - the Farscape theme music. My mom used to fall asleep with her DVDs playing in her room so the theme would run over and over and over. My room is next to hers so I could hear the music when I was trying to sleep. It always gave me nightmares. I'd have to go into her room to turn it off.
So, uh, sir.. uh, you heading back to Earth soon? Yup. Can't wait to get back. I heard Elizabeth was heading back with you. Yeah, she's going to settle everything up with the IOA. Will you be.... uh, going with her? Sir. *confused* *anxious* Don't worry, Sheppard. I've got my own unresolved ship on my own show. Good to know, sir!

4 hours?! How long is the commute under normal circumstances?

Sparky is on screen. Therefore, it is canon.Elizabeth is still out there. And John WILL bring her home.
so i used two john sheppard lines today. i used his "And the fact that we are having this conversation in private lets me know that you know damn well that it's wrong..." and i put a spin on the "headknocking" line today. and i gotta tell you, the dude i was talking to (He's been a pain in my Six for the past 6 years) and he wasn't so happy. we nearly came to blows. he's my kolya. it is a long story one that i don't wanna get back into. so yep, i was channeling my inner john sheppard today.

Glad you're okay too, LadyMore!!!
Will keep everybody on Eastern Seaboard in my thoughts -- looks like Hurricane Irene is headed right for you.

Well I understand the freakout, with the rarity of Earthquakes we have in this area and the shadow of the haunting events of 9/11 etched in our minds alot of people were terrified.
Oh Jeeze your poor hubby, I HATE traffic. It doesnt help I have ADD and cant sit still I would have screamed. I give Mr. SR alot of credit.
But yes I am grateful my first earthquake experience wasnt deadly and preceived as just my dog kicking the bed.
And to The Rest of The Sparky Family Thank you for the well wishes for us
