I don't mind mentioning it. It would seem Joe's surgery didn't quite go as planned and DH was right in what he tweeted yesterday after all. LOL

I guess he's feeling okay, or maybe still drugged.

Considering how close they were to pressing the gate button, that's probably all he would have needed for it to work.
Exactly. The snake had to stay under the radar so he could complete his mission; then he'd be able to keep being a sneaky snake once Atlantis got blown up. Except that didn't work too well.

As for why he didn't do a dramatic pause, I'm guessing the snake figured it could pin the blame on someone else. Almost worked, too. Except for those darn kids.

I'd rather say he learned to respect the unusual way Atlantis base was functioning, and also learned to respect both John and Elizabeth. Or perhaps, he respected Elizabeth and extended that to John, because Elizabeth trusted John in everything, and I think thatw as quite enough to Caldwell. His position changed over the course of the season, in a reasonable and logic way.
This. It wasn't really until after "Critical Mass" that he started to ease up on his desire to command. Just look at the way he bantered with John and Elizabeth in the infirmary at the end of "The Long Goodbye." I'd say that was the start of when Caldwell really began to fit in and become one of Atlantis's own.

Sparky is on screen. Therefore, it is canon. Elizabeth is still out there. And John WILL bring her home.

Just working on "To Build A Fire" and realized

        Spoiler:
The way I have John hanging and the talk about his shoulders hurting may either tickle him or bring Joe bad memories. He's just had a nice hallucination about Mayel also that didn't end well. Hee. 36 pages and on Act 3, Scene 5

          Ouch on both counts, LOL!

In other news, I'm beginning to have second thoughts about going to the Wizard World convention on Saturday. I mean, yeah, I could see Torri now! but I'll also be able to see her at the Creation con in November, and that's really what I was gearing up for anyway. Plus, I could use the money I saved from not going to Wizard World to get an upgraded ticket for November. *sighs* Decisions, decisions.

Definitely. If this is indeed going to be the last LA con, I'd really like to get an upgraded seat, as I've never done that before.

I keep debating the LA con. I've always wanted to see California. My issue is getting the time off work. :::sigh::: I gotta win the lottery so I have the time and the money to do whatever I want.

My advice for the young people - marry a rich spouse.

                          SPARKY'S I HAVE A QUESTION FOR A FAN FIC:

So I have to have a story that deals with the topic of fertility. So I am dealing with a pregnant Elizabeth (she's having John's kid of course). I want to get this right and keep Elizabeth in character as best and keep this as realistic as I can

So Elizabeth is going to be Pregnant while on Atlantis, also in the story she was told she may have problems with Fertility so this is a big thing for her, so she is obviously going to keep the baby. But how do you think John and Elizabeth will react to this? Also are their regulations about Marriage? It will be a great help you guys =D

Will vote shortly but I just wanted to see of anybody wanted to do the picspam for Sparky on the favorite ship thread. Every ship that hits 50 votes has gotten one.

If you're going by assumption that Elizabeth is very near or over 40 years old, you should read up about risks of being pregnant persumably for the first time in that age. It comes with various health risks for both mom and the baby. I think she would initially be shocked, because parenthood isn't something Elizabeth has in her plans, but after that I don't see how she wouldn't want her and John's child. After the decision to keep the pregnancy she may be concerned for health risks for the child, and I can see John doing the same, only adding the concern for her. Go and look up pregnancy forums. They are usually full of useful information, and first hand experience.

As for rules and regulations, they were never clearly spelled out, but common sense suggests IOA and John's superiors wouldn't be thrilled, there would probably be people who'd say she's biased toward him, as there would be people who would be genuinely happy about them being together. Persoanlly, I wouldn't dwelve into that topic too much. It tends to be a bottomless pit of complications, and I don't like stories that go too deep into regulations. This is science fiction. I don't watch it for being realistic, but for other reasons.

Having that said, why did you spell fertility with capital F and pregnancy with capital P? I didn't realize that English required that nouns should be written with capital letters, like in German.

Also, remember that good writers do their research.
