gateraid, you're expanding your horizons! That song pic spam was so sad and angsty and really well done.

I know what you mean about the commercials. There were points where I was bouncing in my seat, impatient for the commercials to end so we could get back to the movie. Good times.

I nearly died laughing at that first scene! First his electric razor dies, then he reaches for the booze. Epic comedy!

Ohhhh yeah, he so had to end up with both of the ladies. Continuing that good ol' Kirking tradition, eh?

I can't wait for this one to come out on DVD. Why can't it be July already?

Yeah, I was wondering why the thread suddenly had sooooo many more posts than before. I enjoyed reading teh commentary. BTW, I just checked again at Walmart and "Change of Plans" is still on preorder til April 26th. Boo hoo. But I still wanna support JoeF, so I'm patiently waiting to buy it.

That's what fanfiction is for.

i know i was just subtly dropping hints seeing if someone would be up to the challenge of writing said story.

Like gateraid, I'm trying out new things today (don't think dirty thoughts with that!)

I actually wrote fic after watching the movie last night. You don't have to have seen the movie, but I suppose it would help.

Oh, and this is complete and utter drek. I can't believe I'm even posting it.

John woke with a start, sitting up and looking around the room. He was in Atlantis. Thank goodness. That was such a strange dream.

Next to him, Elizabeth opened her eyes. “What’s wrong?”

“Just a bad dream.” He was still trying to get his breathing under control.

Elizabeth turned towards him fully. “What was it about?”

John laid back down with a sigh. “Parallel dimensions, panicky scientists, and obtuse bureaucrats. It was pretty similar to here. Even the T-Rex type creatures from M34-425 made an appearance.”

Elizabeth laughed. “So that’s why your feet kept moving. You were running in your sleep. I thought only my dog did that.”

“Hey!”

“But you’re much sexier than my dog,” Elizabeth said with a placating tone.

“Thank you.”

John’s expression turned serious. “There was even a woman like you there” he said as he started to play with her curls. “I told her I wouldn’t leave anyone behind, and then I left her. Just like…..”

Elizabeth held her hand up against John’s cheek. “Hey, I’m back. I’m alright.” John still looked haunted, though. So she decided to change tactics. “So, was this woman good looking? Did you two … ?”

John laughed at that. “You know very well that you’re the only woman for me.”

Elizabeth’s eyes were gleaming with delight. “Oh really?”

“Just kiss me already, Mrs. Sheppard.”

So she did. There were no more dreams.

JT for the win! Great job on the fic! And like everybody said, sometimes simple is best! When I'm writing and it gets too complex, that's when the muse and fic bunnies take an unexpected vaycay.

Whoo hoo! That was awesome! But hey, whatever happened to Elizabeth's equally crackalicious dream about trying to stop Stonehenge from destroying the world? LOL!

Still haven't seen that yet. Must add to Netflix.

Someday I'm gonna write that SGA/NCIS crossover fic that I've got an idea for.

I think that's why I love them so. It isn't just "you're pretty and I'm pretty so we make pretty babies now, yes?" But yes, they would make pretty green eyed Sparky babies who are too wise for their own good. Like Eri's Emma stories.

And it's not love at first sight. They both grew as a result of their relationship. They helped each other. My 2 typical ship leanings are "partners who learn from each other" (think Castle, Booth/Bones, or J/C on Voyager - another doomed ship), and love/hate bickering types (think Benedick/Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing - oh what I would have given to see Torri in that role!).

Now that I've rambled on, I'm going to try to knock my insomnia so I don't pass out in work later.

Oh, by all means, keep rambling. Some of our best discussions have come out of rambling.

I've got it recorded--I just finally got around to watching last Monday's Castle, so it may be a while before I get to Ferocious Planet.

SK, you really want SA on Blu-Ray? You're brave. My eyes couldn't take the step-down CGI on Blu-ray.

Seriously though, FP doesn't have nearly so much crappy CGI, probably because they only needed it for the alien T-rexes.

If Mark Harmon has enough of it, then NCIS will most certainly end. And that spin-off already exists as in NCIS: Los Angeles... which I love. Hetty rocks big time!

Very true, and Hetty has got to be one of the all time great characters. Plus if we're talking about TV roles that should have gone to JF, look no further than Callen. Bellasario had a particular way of doing things that Mark Harmon didn't agree with, which was kept mostly silent but little leaks here and there indicated he worked the actors particularly hard and was a little unrelenting in terms of their performances. I never read particular reports criticizing Bellasario directly, but it seemed that Harmon became spokesman for the entire group and leveled his power as lead actor against Bellasario, basically indicating that if Bellasario didn't either lighten up or back off he'd leave the show. CBS sided with Harmon and Bellasario 'left' and was replaced by the current show runner Shane Brennan--who was the brainchild behind "NCIS: LA". Harmon's a producer, but from what I gather, his role is like that of RDA as a producer for SG-1.

John frowned. “A little too much if you ask me.”

“Didn’t help the one we ran into was hopped up on genetic enhancers,” Rodney replied. “Even her scratch…”

“Ah!” John held up a finger. “What did agree on as far as talking about any of that?”

“Wish I’d gotten to see her,” said Keller. “I bet she was something else. The first-hand observation alone would have been worth the risk.”

“Yes, she was, and no, it wasn’t,” Rodney replied. “Believe me, she was not someone you’d ever want to meet.”

Jennifer threw him a flat look.
