Top Ten Reasons Why John Sheppard Loves Elizabeth Weir
10. The Eyebrow of Doom. - This is one of those that had multiple answers. My personal favorite is "Condemned," when she's totally pwning the Olesian Magistrate to get not only herself and Lorne's team out of the Magistrate's clutches, but find out WTF happened to Team Shep. Plus, her hair was fan-frakkin-tastic!
9. He likes defending her honor. - "Misbegotten." What can I say? There's nothing like a little chivalry to get the heart racing.
8. He knows that she knows what he was really going to say when he had that bug on his neck. - "Thirty-Eight Minutes." Because let's face it, Lizzeh had him pegged. He knew it. And he so enjoyed basking under her oh-so-knowing gaze in the infirmary.
7. She looks so damn sexy in red. - Elizabeth wore red in every episode of Atlantis she appeared in, except for "Lifeline," "Be All My Sins Remember'd," and "Ghost in the Machine." So if you answered with any of the other Weir-era episodes, you got this one in the bag!
6. She got him promoted by threatening to go to the President. Talk about working those political connections! - "The Intruder." Sure didn't see her fighting for Simon like that, did we? *snorts*
5. Beauty AND brains. What more could a guy want? - Another one with multiple answers. My personal faves are "The Siege, Part 2" (mad diplomatic skillz!), "Epiphany" (mad linguist skillz to save John's ass from premature old age!), and "Tao of Rodney," (mad linguist skillz strike again!).
4. She's not afraid of him, even when he's turning into a homicidal bug-man. - "Conversion." And she's the only one we ever saw go to see him when he shut himself up in his quarters. That had to make an impression on him.
3. You don't go on a rampage and kill fifty-eight Genii assault troops in less than ten minutes to avenge someone who's nothing more than your "boss." "The Eye." - And when, pray tell, have we ever seen him go off the deep end Rambo on that kind of scale for anyone else? Even his teammates? Nope. Just for her.
2. She believed in him when no one else did. "Rising." Though one could also count "The Intruder," for the way she told off Landry & Co. to promote Sheppard.
1. He just does. Again, this could be multiple episodes, but my personal pick is "Lifeline." He let her go because she asked him to. There is no greater act of love than that. Except, perhaps, going back for her. Bring on Atlantis Rising.
Congratulations, Sparkies!
