    Mornin' Sparkies. Looks like things are back to normal around here with the smutty caps from gateraid.

    My little buddy got his package and is very happy. His mom wants to know if the action figure is for her. Mr. SR said tell her the clothes don't come off. LOL She'll probably steal it from the kid after he goes to sleep. ROTFLMAO!

    Anuna, would it help if I post those icons in a larger size and you can try reducing them yourself?

          He is probably the only person who can combine "Sex Pistols" and "nihilist" in the same Twitter post. That's it. I better get myself an account.

            We were commenting at the con on his vocabulary. Considering his study of "American and European Intellectual Thought" I am somehow not surprised. Keep a dictionary bookmarked. LOL

                Good morning, Sparkies! Happy Pretty Friday!

                And in somewhat on-topic news, the college football season has officially started! John should be quite pleased. Elizabeth, on the other hand, is probably rolling her eyes. USC won its game against Hawaii last night, 46-39. It was an ugly win, though. Their defensive line really needs some work. And don't even get me started on those penalties. *headdesk*

                          (before the ep)

                          “Well, you’re feeling comfortable in my office.” Elizabeth said as she walked into her office where John sat waiting for her with his feet resting on her desk.

                          He gave her a grin and kept his feet firmly on the desk. “Yes, I do.”

                          She sat down opposite him. “Did you do that with your previous bosses too?”

                          “My previous bosses were twits.”

                          “Twits?”

                          “I think I spend too much time training the new English team.”

                          Elizabeth smiled. “You think?”

                          “If I start using words like 'twits' I know I am.”

                          “And you deftly managed to steer the subject away from your feet on my desk.”

                          He gave her a grin. “Almost got away with it, yes.”

                          At that moment they heard the gate activate and both automatically turned to it.

                          *unscheduled offworld activation*

                          Both John and Elizabeth jumped up and hurried over the bridge to the control room.

                          “Have you received an IDC yet?” Elizabeth asked as the gate made contact.

                          Chuck stared at the screen. “Nothing yet, but...”

                          *Atlantis, this is Doctor Lindsay, security code Alfa Charlie Lima 2468. We came under fire and request backup.*

                          Elizabeth looked at John who nodded and ran downstairs to get his team.

                          “Doctor Lindsay, this is Atlantis. Colonel Sheppard’s team will render assistance immediately.”

                          *Thank you Dr. Weir, Lindsay out.*

                          The gate shut off again and at that moment John and his team appeared in the gateroom in full gear.

                          “Dial the planet.”

                          Chuck nodded and began entering the address.

                          When the gate activated, John and his team approached the puddle and while the others stepped through it, John looked back and gave Elizabeth a nod. She returned it with an encouraging smile and whispered: “Be safe.”
